Anyone know where to buy replacement parts? I stripped a torx screw trying to change the blade.

This saw is a great product! I purchased it based on the last Dewalt saw I owned and used for over 25 years and loved.

Dewalt makes quality tools that they stand behind. This fully capable sliding compound miter saw (DS779) is an amazing deal for $349! It miters 50 degrees left and 60 degrees right and bevels 45 degrees in both directions. A full 12-inch siding board mitered at 35 degrees required only a very small finishing cut with a hand saw. With the stand, it handled and cut full dimension 16-foot 3×10 spruce rafters easily. Came with a 60 tooth blade. My only problem was that I initially ordered the 709 saw, which doesn’t slide, but was the same price (my mistake). Home Depot made the exchange as easy as possible for someone who lives almost 100 miles from their nearest store.

It does an excellent job. Came out of the box in working condition and ready to use. It’s going to get lots of use.

Initially I thought I wanted the 780 slider just for use around house on projects. The footprint on it was way to big even though it looks like a killer saw. Decided to go with the 716 12 inch. Its perfect out of box no calibrating needed. Was able to practice cut accurate slices on a 1×4 at about 1/8 inch thickness which is amazing. Already built shelving for pantry in new house so mrs is happy too! This is a top notch miter, and cant wait for the next project.
