The DEWALT 15 Amp 12 in. Sliding Compound Miter Saw is driven by a powerful motor that delivers up to 3,800 RPM of cutting power. With extended bevel and miter capacities and tall sliding fences, this saw powers through dimensional lumber and molding at angles up to 50 Degree left and 60 degree right for versatility. 10 positive stops and an XPS LED make accurate cutting intuitive and easy and the gearbox and belt-drive design increases vertical cutting capacity. This saw comes conveniently supplied with a 12 in. carbide blade, blade wrench, vertical material clamp and dust bag. Miter Saw Stand (DWX723) included with purchase.

I needed a new saw to replace my Milwaukee that I absolutely loved . At first I was disappointed that this one didn’t have a laser guide line . After a half a day of assembly of the saw and the rolling stand “that I had to have to go with the saw “ I was pleasantly surprised with the shadow guide that this saw has . It takes a little getting used to but once you get the hang of it it’s much better than the laser in my opinion . If you’re on the fence about this saw , do yourself a huge favor bite the bullet and buy it . After you use it a couple of times you won’t regret it. I do however recommend that you also buy the rolling stand to go with it . It makes moving it around from place to place a lot easier than the folding stand .

This is a great miter saw stand for managing long pieces of trim work with a miter saw, and for Hardie plank siding with a shear. It is heavy duty with the extension arms made of steel square tube; I like that they extend and retract with minimal effort and can lock into place. The whole stand sets up a breaks down easily, and is great for mobile work locations. When I first got it, I thought the stand was too long, but have since adapted and have allocated appropriate space when storing and transporting. I recognized the length is necessay to house the extention arms.

The saw is great so far but the assembly I will give only 3 star. Pictures are terrible and the method to change blades is not that intuitive for layman. It’s funky on how you have to push the guard out of the way and they don’t explain it very well. That’s my only complaint.

I have been using this stand for well over two years and is is a great piece of equipment. It’s very stable and doesn’t wobble at all. Moving it is a little cumbersome but just take your time. The only real issue that I’ve had is with the sliding/adjustable material supports/stops. The cheap little lock down knob was worthless. It’s a little two sided knob that didn’t last but just a few months before both sides cracked a fell apart. I use these a lot and also found that getting my large fingers in to turn the little two sided knob was frustrating at the least. Dewalt should have spent another dollar and supplied some wheel like knobs. I replaced my broken knobs with a round one with finger slots. They work great and lock down very easy and secure.
