Description
Driven by a 3,800 RPM motor, this Sliding Miter Saw with Rolling Stand is the perfect addition to your work station. Each Saw features 12 in. carbide blade that has enough power to cut through dimensional lumber and molding while the tall sliding fence allows for larger pieces of wood to be cut. The lightweight design allows for easy transport to the jobsite.

I have only had the stand for a few weeks noew but the stand is easy to use and set up. When you stand it on end it is still very sturdy for storage. I have found it to be easy to set up anywhere. Going thru doorways inside the house it moves thru with ease , even with the a sliding miter saw on bolted to it. I have u have used it on flooring and trim work it has been a breeze to use. The extensions are very sturdy and seem to have no trouble supporting anything. The best feature is the shock assist they have for setting it up this takes very little effort. This is a must have when using a miter saw.

I struggled making the decision on whether I would purchase this model or the Dewalt 779. I researched many miter saws in this class. I can say the extra ~$100 for the 780 with the XPS LED lighting system was worth very extra penny. I keep the saw attached to the stand in the upright position to keep it out of the way. Using this saw compared to my 10 year old Craftsman is like night and day. Great saw and stand, would buy it all over again

This unit did not work correctly right out of the box. I had to work with a friend that had one and found that the lock needed lubrication.

The saw is great so far but the assembly I will give only 3 star. Pictures are terrible and the method to change blades is not that intuitive for layman. It’s funky on how you have to push the guard out of the way and they don’t explain it very well. That’s my only complaint.

I really wanted to like the rolling miter saw stand, but there is one big drawback. When you insert the material support pipes in, they lock together and it makes it difficult to store or stand up. The solution would be to remove the support pipes, but once they lock together, there is no way to remove them. I tried mightily to get them back out, but they seem to be stuck forever.
