This is the best tool in my tool box. I listen to a lot of EDM. The music thumps and is loud and clear. Half volume is enough for the 2000 sqft house I’m working on. I use a 9ah flexvolt battery and it will go all day without reduced performance. My only issues are:1) for $200+ they could have included a short aux cable2) sometimes it will lose a radio station and not try to find it again. I’m sure they could fix this in firmware.3) the app lets you adjust the speaker’s volume when using radio, but not BT. This could also be updated in app.

Bought this radio two weeks ago and already returned for another one. The bass started to sound awful and it started to smell like something electronic burned inside it. It also got super hot under it. Hopefully the new one don’t give me any issues because I really love the sound and the design

Sound quality is amazing for a jobsite radio. I like that it can charge all my batteries including flexvolt.

Sound quality is amazing. Cons are simple: no AM stations (if that matters to you), the top lid/door sucks and is fragile, the menu / UX on both the radio and inside the iOS app is garbage.

I bought mine a week ago today, used it once indoors at my house, and twice on the job site, made it maybe two hours into the third time using it and the subwoofer blew, volume was at 4, the equalizer was set at 3-5-5 at the indoor setting, returned it today and got a new one so hopefully this one works out better. Can someone explain how version one was more reliable than 2.0. I do love what they did with the battery charger and phone dock area, That was a huge improvement but doesn’t matter if you can’t use it

It worked really good for 2 months then the subwoofer blew at half volume

Bought one after having the first tough system version and love the sound as well as the ability to use flex volt batteries. Also the compartment is much better in accommodating it’s own power supply cord. After having it for 3 weeks the subwoofer started rattling and it sounded terrible. I was able to return it and get another one. I’m hopeful I will not have the same issues with second one. In addition I have a galaxy note 10+ and the app doesn’t work hardly at all. It’s pretty much useless. This is not a deal breaker for me as I am not dependent on it for functionality but it was very disappointing nonetheless.

Cant put your phone close to the display or it makes it go crazy. I actually returned my first one because I thought it was defective. When I got the second one, it did the same thing and then I looked online and realized it was a known issue. Dewalt needs to fix this or it would get 5 stars.

Bought 3 weeks ago, Bluetooth turns off at times. Battery life is terrible using 4.0 battery. No clock.Sound is great. All in all would o recommend?? I don’t know yet..

This is a great sounding radio. Light and portable for the capabilities that it has. The only reasons for not 5 stars is tuning the FM radio is a little difficult and I would like to be able to run the aux cable out of it with the lid closed. Also wish power transformer was built instead of on cord.

I the radio is very solid. Great sound. Even at full volume. Great connectivity with Bluetooth. Touch screen works nicely. The DeWalt app only works with your music library. It does not recognize Amazon or other streaming apps.

Bought this to upgrade from the original ToughSystem Radio. Many improvements over the original. Great sound, much improved storage*Integrates perfectly with other ToughStack boxes/carriers.Very happy we can finally use FlexVolt batteries in them now.Dedicated app is only so-so, needs integration with phone music apps (Google Play music/Apple music) libraries, as opposed to just music stored on the device to be really useful.A bit heavier than older model.*New storage area is much improved, though you can’t have a FlexVolt 6Ah or larger battery in it and store the power brick as well. A bit of a drawback, but not a deal breaker. Using/leaving a smaller battery in is no issue when also storing the power brick. My only ‘gripe’ is that the phone storage was designed so that when you leave a phone in it, and carry it by the handle, the phone will slide around in the storage compartment, should be a way to prevent that, or secure it.

I love my radio. I don’t wish to compare this to the prior version it’s the newest one dewalt took in account what most people didn’t like from the first version and compremised a few things I don’t own a ds carrier so I don’t need a latch hook. I don’t own Milwaukee packout I prefer dewalt and don’t wish to spend more money for tools and storage that work just as well if not better with my dewalt tools. Good job dewalt I love my radio it could use an antenna though.

Great addition to my tough system storage.Nice to be able to keep everything together and bring the music too!Radio sounds great, Bluetooth is a nice option for listening to music without interruptions! Great to be able to control the radio with the Dewalt radio app!Well built radio, I’m very happy with the tough system2.0 radio

The sound is incredible! The radio reception is terrible. The charger output is 1.5 amp. It would be nice if it was 8 or at least 4.

I have the first version of this radio and really like it so I purchased this. The sound quality is fantastic! The color display is nice but not really needed. On the other hand, the information on the screen, like the radio station and song, artist, etc. could use some work. Most of the time the information displays in gibberish.
