Use the TOUGHSYSTEM 2.0 Radio and Charger Bluetooth wireless connection to stream music on the jobsite up to 100 ft. It has 5 full range speakers, an active sub-woofer and a passive bass resonator to create a loud and high-quality sound, accompanied by dynamic range control allowing sound to be adjusted between indoor and outdoor settings. This radio has a color LCD screen and touch-screen capabilities. With an IP54 dust and water resistance rating, this radio can be used in harsh jobsite conditions. Charge any device with the USB fast-charger and AUX ports and use DEWALT 12-Volt MAX, 20-Volt MAX or FLEXVOLT batteries for outstanding runtime. Compatible with any TOUGHSYSTEM Storage unit.

Best cordless bluetooth speaker for jobsite. I have the tough system and when used with it, it uses minimal space. Used to have the older version but this fits the flexvolt so I can have this on full volume all day. Has great bass and it’s very clear.

Was surprised that for the review it did not include a battery but luckily had one from the last device I reviewed and so was good; alsosuprised not a touch screen and had “buttons” to side to push instead.Not that good on FM reception – needs a way to plug in an antennae of some type to really be useful as fm receiverTried to first connect my computer to the device but it didn’t see it as an audio device. Then did phone and saw 2 bluetooth devices for the device, one audio, the other must have been what computer saw and couldn’t use – what is this?Had the phone connected via bluetooth and then connected it to the usb charger inside the batter charger compartment. Thecompartment closes and hides your cell phone – a welcome edition would be a “lock” on this compartment so could leave your phone in it unattended.volume control odd, has 8 bars and feels like needs more, didn’t really get good volume til 3rd bar. 4 ticks of the knob to get into next bar so means except for first, so say 20 clicks of sound control. out of the box volume seemed tinny soI increased the bass and mid-range some and that helped. Maximum volume feels like too much, so tuned down a few ticks and sounded good and could be heard fine around 50 feet awaybluetooth range very good – had device in computer room and walked thru family room/kitchen/dining room, around 50 feet andwas still getting signal to the device from my cell phone. was using iheart radio app on cell phone and liked how artist/songbeing played displayed on the device.went to straight battery at 7pm, after 3 hours went to “red” on battery indicator so I’m not sure about efficiency of batterylife – volume was low so would expect to use less battery. On the plus side, plugged the charger of device into power and chargedup in less than 40 minutes, and that was with it charging my cell phone at the same time.

Overall, it’s a fantastic radio / charger with a bunch of useful upgrades. One of these is the larger storage area, which is great, but it comes at the cost of ditching the metal locking mechanism on the back. It’s a small agitation for DS carrier users, as there is nothing to secure it to the carrier (it just sits on the brackets). Be sure not to accidentally tip the cart forward too much / too abruptly while on the move.

I will say I do like the radio. But it will start popping after about 30 min and then no bass 15 min later another pop and I get bass back. This actually my second unit , the first one blew the sub after 3 weeks. HD did exchange it for me. We need a firmware update or a new amp. I hope the problem gets resolved I’ve grown attached to this radio.

Actually am bringing it back. When i bought it there were 2 left and sitting on the floor. Guess mine fell to the floor because the lid is very hard to get closed but the sound is excellent

Very durable, dewalt tough. Storage has ample room for a phone to charge, I have the note 8 and I have room to spare. I get lots of channels in my area…4 speakers so good music, i also like the fact there is an outside mode and a indoor mode…I threw a 20V 10N battery in and was able to listen for hrs….

I haven’t had a portable boombox that possessed a quality sound like this since the one I had when I was a teen in the 80s trying to brake dance. That radio I had than, was three times the size, but I believe this radio is even louder. When it comes to all the different levels of bass, you get the best quality possible from a devices this size. This gives more base than some base speakers, for it’s size. On most devices, you really don’t here all the elements in a song. This devices gives you the clarity and base, to hear the song as it was really intended.
