The DEWALT Compact Miter Saw Stand has a universal design that works with all brands of miter saws. Made of lightweight aluminum construction, it weighs only 29.8 lbs. for easy transport to and from the job site with folding legs. It’s also extremely durable. The 40-Inch beam extends to support up to 10 feet of material and up to 500 lbs. Work stops and supports can be repositioned quickly anywhere along the rail.

I had this shipped to the store for pick-up. The bottom of the carton had been run thru with forklift forks but the item was fine, no damage. A very courteous Home Depot employee let me fully inspect before I left. The stand has worked out perfectly for the new 12″ miter saw (Dewalt) that I received for Christmas. The shorter length is great for “in the house use”, I also have the longer one for outside work. I consider them both to be a “must have” when working with a miter saw. Very glad I made the purchase.

This compact version (40″ beam instead of 60″ beam of full size) fits in tight spaces or indoor use, yet is just as stable with the same 500lb weight capacity. And no problem mounting most any size saw on itʻs universal mounting arms. With the expansion support arms extended, it still can support boards 10 feet in length. Due to itʻs smaller main beam, it is quite mobile although if one wants to move it a lot, DeWalt makes a miter stand with wheels that collapses. Only downside to this product is the price is essentially just $10 less expensive than the full size model probably because all the components appear exactly the same except that the main beam is roughly two feet shorter. This product does all that one would expect.
