I have the DWV012 and so when my 12 yr old shop vac gave out I decided to buy this one. I love it. It has tremendous power can keep up with sanding drywall if required to do so…though I must admit if that’s your intended use buy the DWV012. The filter purge works really well. The drain on this unit is nice as is the two stage motor.

I bought the DXV10P 3 months ago. I’ve used it numerous time as a dust collector attached to chop saw, table saw and pocket hole tool. The vac works great with plenty of suction. I like the storage bag and the rubber hose clip that holds it when storing. The cons: Extremely loud ( louder than my old shop vac ), Only 1 swivel for the hose , needs 1 at each end ( don’t be so cheap DeWalt ) Overall it’s a great vac
