Used vac to clean ash from wood burner . Used DeWalt fine dust bag . Worked better then 3 other vacs . It’s my new favorite vac . Also added RIDGID noise muffler , it fits & made shop vac quieter then my upright vac .

I purchased this to replace a craftsman wet and dry shop vac. This vac is so much quieter than my old vac. It is also very powerful with lots of suction. The parts tray is large enough to hold all the nozzles and I like how the cord wraps around the top of the unit.

I’d been vacuuming my vehicles with a Dyson vacuum made for the house. It didn’t have enough oomph to get the job done, and seemed difficult to get it through the vehicle. I chose this DeWalt because of its power and its mobility. Yes, it’s a large, heavy vacuum, but the casters are excellent and the hose is plenty long. If DeWalt or some other company makes a nozzle set specifically for auto interiors, I’m going to hook onto it. There were a lot of vacuums on the market to choose from, but I got this one in case I ever need a wet vac. Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. Anyhow, I’ve had this vacuum for about a month now, and it’s been fantastic. Great purchase!

You know how when you are at a friend’s dad’s shop, or your grandfather, or someone who has a shop vac, and you go to turn it on, or they do and you can’t hear conversations anymore, and if you aren’t the one forced to use it that you want to leave the room? That’s completely NOT what happens with this one. It’s literally quieter than your home vacuum. I was really concerned about having a shop vac because of their notorious noise levels, and while this one isn’t silent, it’s tame enough that it’s a pleasure to use, and the air inlet is really the noisiest part. The big switch on the face is excellent, the accessories tote attached to it is a nice surprise as well. All told I’m absolutely thrilled with my DXV10P.
