DIABLOs new Steel Demon Cermet saw blade series is redefining metal cutting and the jobsite, by introducing safer, exclusive innovation that allows users to cut both mild and stainless steels for up to 40X longer life versus standard carbide-tipped metal cutting saw blades. The specially formulated Cermet (Ceramic and Metallic blend) teeth provide high heat tolerances and increased hardness for superior wear and ultimate cutting life. Featuring a special Triple Chip Grind and Perma-Shield coating, these blades slice through the toughest of metals to produce precise cuts and burr-free finishes that require no rework. The thin-kerf body and advanced laser cut anti-vibration stabilizer vents reduce vibration and noise to allow the blades to quickly shear through metal with ease and accuracy. The ability to cut through both mild and stainless steel eliminates the need for individually dedicated saw blades, offering a 1-blade solution for ultimate metal cutting performance and unmatched value story, forever changing the metal cutting industry.
- Cermet (ceramic and metallic blend) teeth provide a high heat tolerance and increased hardness for superior wear and ultimate cutting life, lasting up to 40X longer than standard carbide metal cutting saw blades
- Triple chip tooth design provides burr-free finishes that require no-rework and longer cutting life
- Advanced laser cut stabilizer vents trap noise and vibration for maximum stability, keeping the blade cool for straight, accurate cuts in metal cutting applications
- Tri-metal shock resistant brazing, a 3-metal brazing system, allows cermet teeth to withstand extreme impact for maximum durability
- Laser cut thin kerf design provides less resistance and heat build-up for ease of cut, accuracy and long cutting life in metal cutting applications
- Perma-Shield non-stick coating resists heat build-up by protecting the blade against gumming and corrosion
- Laser cut arbor reduces vibration and premature wear for accurate blade rotation when in use on the saw
- Cuts 1/16 in. to 1/4 in. wall thickness in steel studs, angle iron, flat bar, channel, EMT conduit
- Cuts 1/16 in. to 1/4 in. wall thickness in plate and bar stock
- Cuts 1/4 in. to 1 in. Dia threaded rod

I bought this blade as an experiment. I need to section up a piece of 2” thick mild steel and figured I would give this a shot to see how far it gets. Using it in a 2.5HP Skil saw I was able to get 3” or 4” into the cut before it started losing traction. Considering it is billed as a blade for 1/4” thick steel I’d say it was a good success. Once the blade cools down I’ll give it another go.

Bought it to cut strut channels. The cuts are very smooth. No need to sand after cuts if you do it at the right speed.

Awesome blade for circular saw, chop saw, or even table saw. Whatever saw u got to cut any metal(other than aluminum, they have their own blades, more tpi) worked great on stainless, steel, and other ferrous metal on my circularsaw. Lasted quite a long time too, at least double the cuts that the regular Diablo steel demon handles. Used it maybe twice a week and it lasted around 5 months while cutting thick stainless steel! Well worth the money.

Cuts metal like it is wood. Amazing really. But wear a face shield!

Wow, this blade really does cut well through sheet metal, it made very easy work of some sheet metal roofing and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I will caution that this blade will scatter metal shavings and if you’re not wearing eye protection or long sleeves you may leave the work piece with some minor cuts.

Cuts metal roofing panels cleanly. To cut thin gauge sheet metal cleanly you will want to attach a piece of wood to the bottom of your circular saw base then plunge this blade through it to create a thin slot. Then cut away! Watch the chips though, they are hot and sharp! I had to wear a motorcycle helmet with full face shield to make the cuts comfortably. And a cotton shirt, these chips will melt and stick to synthetics.

I used this blade to cut 3/8 inch mild steel with my circular saw. I was very impressed with the way it cut through steel as easily as if it were wood. Very true cuts with very little in the way of ragged edges left behind. I highly recommend the Diablo for cutting mild steel.
