The Perma-Shield coating shields the blade against gumming and corrosion. Laser cut stabilizer vents reduce vibration during cutting or ripping.

Our company had tried several other blades similar to this one, and they all had a loud, high pitch, almost screeching tone. The strategically placed relief cuts in the Diablo blade, change the resonance of the blade, making it almost completely quiet while the saw is on, both spinning freely, and when cutting.

First off, this was the only blade i could find that would fit my el- cheapo miter saw. ( needed 8.5 inch diameter). I also wanted to use this miter saw to cut numerous pieces of aluminum carpet transition strips. Nice smooth cuts without any vibration or kickbacks on the aluminum, even while making 45 degree angle cuts. Made it very safe to use because it is a finish blade. I may leave it in and use it for other wood products later on.Good purchase.

I am using this blade in a compound sliding miter saw. The package was received as expected and installation was smooth. I am cross cutting cherry, maple, and a fine grain pine.
