Diablo’s next generation 12 in. x 96 Tooth Non-Ferrous Carbide Circular Saw Blade features new laser-cut stabilizer vents for precise and clean cuts in laminates and non-ferrous materials. The advanced stabilizer vents feature a permanent filler baked in from top to bottom for absorbing noise and preventing sideways movement, allowing the blade to slice through laminates and non-ferrous metals cleanly, quickly and accurately. Constructed with TiCo Hi-Density special-blend carbide, Diablo’s 12 in. non-ferrous blade produces precise cuts and provides 5X longer cutting life. The laser cut heat expansion slots allow the blade to expand and contract during use, keeping the cut true and straight. This blade is excellent for cutting laminate flooring, plastics, brass, aluminum, copper and fiberglass.

I purchased this saw blade to build my Trex deck since the Trex 12 blade was unavailable. It worked great with smooth cutting and no burn. I also was able to use it on the aluminum railings since it is a non ferrous blade also!

I bought this blade for the specific task of cutting down some cellular shades with aluminum head and foot rails. We replaced some bow windows and they were slightly smaller that the originals. Since the eight shades – 4 per window – were a couple of grand I thought I’d try and resize them before spending another pile of dough. I wasn’t too sure about how it would turn out but I had nothing to lose since I would have to buy new ones anyway if this little project went south.I ended up taking about an inch off each shade. The blade cut the metal and blinds beautifully. What I didn’t know was the footers had two 1/4 steel rods hidden in them to add weight to the footer. I missed hitting them on the first shade but was unpleasantly surprised when the blade kicked back on the second one when it hit the rods. It did cut through them with no damage to the blade, but if you’re ever going to try something like this take a look to be sure there’s nothing hiding in the aluminum channels. So the bottom line is the blade worked great and cut through some steel it wasn’t designed to with no damage. I’m also planning on putting some laminate flooring in my office soon and this should prove ideal for that project too.

Cut through 3” square extruded aluminum with no issue.

I needed to cut a bunch of 1-1/2″ 8020 (extruded aluminum frame) for a test bench. The blade had no problems and made smooth cuts. I usually make these cuts with a band saw, but the band saw was not available and usually didn’t make true cuts. Using the miter saw with this blade worked so well I don’t think I’ll use the band saw for it in the future.

The lady friend wanted an end table made from a reclaimed window frame. Instead of using the original glass and risk it breaking from an accident I replaced it with a sheet of acrylic. Purchased this blade for the job of cutting the acrylic to size using my table saw, and it performed flawlessly. I only run Diablo blades when I can, I have never been disappointed.
