Diablo’s premium metal cut-off discs provide superior performance and increased productivity. Featuring a premium aluminum oxide blend, these discs cut through material faster than other cut-off discs and offer an extra-long cutting life. Diablo’s thin kerf design provides for a thin, fast cut with minimal burr formation. Unlike other bonded discs on the market, this cut-off disc is a true 0.4 in. design. Fully reinforced for use in hand-held cut-off work. Ideal for use when working in hard to reach areas.

Thinner cut off wheel goes through steel much quicker than the standard thickness. However it is very brittle and even a slight bump will cause the disc to fracture. Full face shield is an absolute must as these discs will shatter if they bind in the cut.

This blade is far better than the other offered. A little more expensive but lasts longer. None of these last forever if you are doing a lot of heavy duty cuts, but this seemed to last longer than then their cheaper alternative diamond coated blades offered in store (blue).

I purchased 15 of these cutting wheels, and I’ve only used about 2/3 of the first wheel. If the rest of them are as good as the first one, definitely a 5 star rating.

Good product if you know what your doing. Because of thin kerf they will wear faster but yield nice cuts.Twisting disc while spinning or under load will lead to possible catastrophic failure. USE PPE or have a friend immediately available to drive you to hospital or call 911. Maintain straight cut , let blade do cutting, do not force or try to cut even a small curve or radius on a inside cut.

The quality control on these is somewhat spotty, in my opinion. About 60% of them i could cut metal for about 36 inches before the blade was worn down to a nub and needed replacing. The other 40% I could get through maybe 10 inches when I would have to change because the blade either wore too quickly or the blade fell apart around the metal that his the blade to the grinder. Luckily there were 15 in the pack. Only had 3 left after putting vents in my container.
