These discs work very well, I use them to cut cast iron drain stacks in high rise apartment buildings in CWE. Cuts through like butter and lasts quite awhile. I use the 5″ on my 4.5″ grinder.

It is great for cutting very thin metal.if it hits something else screws, nails, bolts…shreds..So yes I would reco for thin metal..Not so much for anything thicker than .038..

These are great cut off blades just do not force them let the blade cut the steel or they don’t last very long they’re very thin Which is great for straight cuts through steel but it also makes them somewhat fragile
