The corner edge grinding is, of course, the advantage this grinding disc has over others. My only negative is the abrasive wears pretty quickly on both the main flap wheel and the edge especially if you’re starting out on irregular surfaces such as rough, uneven welds. But all in all, it’s a very good disc and helpful on those tight corners.

This thing works great to grind corner welds to a nice finished look even when your welding job looks like a hack. Just don’t push to hard and let tool do the work and it will last suprisingly long.

Grinding inside corners used to be a real disk eater. Pushing a flat disk into the corner tares them up in seconds. This disk turns a bumpy inside weld into a nice uniform radius. As with any flap disk, these are a consumable item. Even if you manage to avoid catching a sharp edge and trashing it, they will wear down. I hope Diablo comes out with an 80 grit version. The 40 grit removes material fast but leaves a bit of a coarse finish. I’ll be buying lots of these.

Sure did but had to rig it to a drill attachment cause had to smooth out soldering joints on 45 degree angles at metal rails in stairwells. Grinder to fast and difficult to go around angles much better access with drill.

Lets face it, we don’t always weld as smoothly as we’d like. This grinding disk is a great way to smooth out those inside weld joints or other hard to reach places. Great for removing splatter as well. A little pricey compared to other abrasion disks, but it works excellent.

The Diablo radiused flap wheel worked very well in blending welds on a carbon steel railing. I was using a die grinder before I found this wheel. The flap wheel was much faster and resulted in a much smoother finish. The wheel is holding up really well.
