DIABLO’s premium 5 in. 60-Grit universal, 12-hole Random Orbital Sanding (ROS) discs with Hook and Lock backing includes break-through innovations that improve performance, extend sanding life and increase productivity. The backing material does come apart somewhat so when you are using a large number of pads, the sander pad can become clogged with residue causing poor adherence with the sanding pads. Declogging the sanding pad can be troublesome but is not impossible. Takes patience but can be done.

Perfect for heavy material removal. Used it to remove several layers of paint and stain from some deck structure boards.

Great deal for the price. I use a Craftsman Orbital 5″ sander and it works quite well. Only problem is the heat tends to melt and “clog” paint in the grit of the disc instead of strip it. And the soft cloth adhesive sticks to the Velcro on the sander when peeling it off.
