Diablo’s premium 7-piece General Purpose Pack includes all the grits needed to complete your refinishing project. This project pack contains three 60-Grit, two 100-Grit and two 150-Grit discs. These universal, 12-hole random orbital sanding (ROS) discs feature Hook and Lock backing and includes break-through innovations that improve performance, extend sanding life and increase productivity. Diablo has a good reputation from what I’m hearing on the saw blades. I figured the sanding discs will be just as good and so far I’m very pleased. I use them in a hobby and house hold project capacity.

We purchased these discs to sand down some redwood planks cut from the stump of a 1000 year old Redwood tree. We were told the stumps had been buried under an old California road around 1900, and had recently been unearthed. The 2″ x 14.5″ x 64″ planks were in very rough condition, so we started sanding with the 60 grit sandpaper. When all the rough edges were gone, we switched to the 100/120 grit. The discs did a great job sanding away the splintery edges and charcoal spots (perhaps from an old forest fire?). We finished the project with some 220 and 400 grit sandpaper we already had and the resulting finish looked great and was very smooth. We will definitely buy Diablo disc sandpaper in the future!
