I was looking for a sander for a wood spool project that could remove a lot of material to get the project from a rough state to a more finished state. This device fit my Dewalt grinder perfectly and did a very good job. I would caution that it is not a finish sander and the edge of the disc can gauge the wood if not careful. Also be advised that it produces a lot of very fine dust!

Big outside paint job on an old farm house with lots of pealing paint. After scraping most of the loose paint, I am using this pad on my 4 1/2″ angle grinder with 36 & 50 grit pads to remove additional loose paint and feather out the edges. Had a different brand that was hard rubber and it tore when it go caught under an edge.. This sanding pad is more rigid and doesn’t tear when it edges catch under the lapped boards. As long as you keep moving, sanding pads won’t quickly gunk up with paint. And a little more cost effective than the flap sanding disks. Have some tight spots on columns. Wish they made a smaller one.
