Designed for use with an angle grinder, Diablo’s 4-1/2 in. Steel Demon Grinding and Polishing Flap Disc grinds and polishes simultaneously to help you scale down and smooth out metal and stainless steel surfaces. Featuring a new Speed HUB design, this flap disc can be changed quickly, without the use of tools. A conical shape and 80-grit (ultra-coarse) composition combine for 10X faster material removal, leaving behind a shiny surface that gives your work piece a revitalized appearance and/or operational resurgence.

Well okay I had a customer deck sanded. He didn’t do the edges. So I had to. HD didn’t have flaps fo wood. I was stuck so I got the steel flap. Figured give it a try sometimes you get stuck. Worked like a charm. 3 layers of paint. Wood flap may have been faster but no issue.

It worked exactly as it should. My problem was I chose too fine a grit. An 80 grit on wood will take off about everything, on anything else, its more of a polisher not something to be used to remove blemishes.

I build “Heirloom Quality” Custom Woodwork (and have for 38 years) I know I can depend on Freud but especially their “Diablo” line of blades, grinding and sanding. This disk has outperformed all other brands, I’m working on a “River Table” from a Misqeute slab, the small planer skips will sand out to be “Pools” the same as the river. This disk cuts quick and easy. I highly recommend all Diablo’s line of disks
