Worked as needed, very precise for the cost. Good value. Works with SawStop table saw.

Easy to use. It’s a popular item so there’s a lot of information on the internet about how to use it.

I purchased this set to replace a cheaper set that did not cut a flat bottom dado (it looked like the bottom had grooves). This set of blades did cut a smooth bottom dado and clean surface edges as well.

It is difficult these days to find a product NOT “made in China” but Diablo blades are a quality find that satisfies the search. This is the third blade I bought of theirs. All my saws now have Diablo blades. I recommend them to anyone needing a reliable, clean cutting, long lasting saw blade.

Awesome set of dado blades. Bought a less expensive pair earlier on and my dados and grooves would have course bottoms I would have to chisel or sand out.Enter Diablo Freud dado blades. These guys cut a very smooth channel with minimal sanding needed almost effortlessly. Love love love these and looking forward to using them in my shop.

Was perfect able to make multiple sizes of dado cuts.

This dado blade really cuts smoothly. I have to say it exceeded my expectations. I went with the more expensive Diablo because I wanted high quality, and this blade delivered it. I’m very happy with the performance, and they did include various sized shims to get the perfect cut.

Fantastic blades! Not cheap but worth every penny. Go to the website to get blade setup info.

Installed it on an old Craftsman table saw (Model No. 137.248880) which is limited to 1/2″ dado blade–works great, just have to make an extra pass for thicker cuts. Nice set, and packaging is reusable and keeps the set together.

Can’t go wrong with the Diablo Stacked Dado set! This was my foray into the use of a stacked dado blade. I undertook the effort of building kitchen cabinets and I knew that to do them properly I needed the backboard to be dado’d into the side panels. My table saw is a Craftsman 113.298 and is at least 40 years old! It’s also a 10″ blade saw, so I was concerned about using an 8″ blade. Several friends that have used stacked dado’s said, “Don’t go cheap! Expect to pay over $200…”All in all, I cut nearly 100 dado slots, mostly 1/2″ and a handful of 3/4”. The saw handled this set wonderfully! My cuts were only 3/8″ deep, so the blade size different had zero impact. All of the cuts were very clean and my board fits very smoothly and the cabinets turned out amazing!Advise I’d give after you buy this is to make sure you keep consistent pressure on the board as it goes over the blade, not all boards are completely flat and I did encounter 1 cut that wasn’t deep enough and it caused me to scratch my head for a long while trying to figure out what was wrong. Also, buy a new zero clearance insert for your saw at the time you get this set. If your saw is anything like mine, the blade insert is metal and the hole is not easily expandable. It’s way smarter & better to have an insert sized for doing dado cuts. Don’t be like me and make the cuts without an insert!

The sides of the cut are clean but the bottom of the cut is nowhere near flat when using the chippers.

I used this Dado Stack for two types of cuts in my window shutter project, a Rabbet cut and a dado cut. For the Rabbet cuts I was somewhat disappointed. The Stack leaves ridges in the wood when making a Rabbet cut. The depths of the cuts are more uneven than I expected, and may be the result of 1) each saw tooth is cut with a relief (not flat on the end), and 2) I had to make multiple passes to get the width I needed. For the dado cuts the ridges were essentially invisible and therefore not a problem, but the cut width was important. The information given about how many chippers, spacers and shims are needed to make a specific cut width is not accurate. Always make a test cut to see if the Blade Stack is making the cut width you need. Calipers are handy for this task, for both measuring the width of the cut and measuring the width of the spacers and shims. For the purpose of making window shutters I think the quality of the Rabbet cuts will suffice, but I would hesitate to recommend this product for furniture quality work if Rabbet cuts are required.

Pretty clean cut for a modest price, only issue is its quite a tight fit to slide blades/chippers into arbor, but I’m sure that’s part of the reason you get a decent cut.

Did a large project that required making tongue and groove parts. The blades are not all the same diameter so there were high and low spots on both the tongues and grooves. Had to use sandpaper and chisel to make the parts fit. The difference is not a lot, maybe a few thousands of an inch, but it was enough to prevent the parts from fitting properly. This made my large project even bigger. I would not recommend this if you need nice smooth dados.

This was my first ever dado set and it exceeded my expectations. I’ve had my eye on this for a while and am so glad I finally purchased. I am a hobby woodworker at best, but this dado set has opened up so many possibilities for me. Did a trial run with it and it went so smoothly that I jumped right into my first project with it.
