Theses disks cut well and are very durable compared to the abrasive cutoff wheels. They do cut more slowly than a 40 grit abrasive cutoff wheel. I’ve used one several times and except for some scraped off paint there is little sign of wear on the cutting surface. I’m sure their durability lessens the chance of a wheel flying apart on the grinder which makes them a better investment.

Used this to cut my tiles for a subway tile back splash in my home. Had to go back and open up some plug openings and it worked great cutting the tile. It said for metals but somebody in the store said that it would probably work on cutting tile. Thanks Bob

I have to say this cutting wheel is amazing. I have cut different and a lot of steels with it. What would have normally been probably 6-8 regular cutting wheels I’m still on the first Diablo cutting Wheel I’ve used. Only issue I had is the arbor lock /screw is almost near impossible to loosen, I had to use an air hammer to break it loose more than once. But outstanding blade.

Picked up the DIABLO 4.5 in. Diamond Wheel for Metal Cutting 2 pack to cut off the remainder of some steel piping remaining in our poured concrete basement after having an oil tank removed. It was a tough task, but these discs handled it without issue! Highly recommend!

I tried this wheel on 1/4″ (6.35 mm) mild steel. The wheel performed adequately (not cutting as fast as a regular cut-off wheel). I did not monitor exactly how much longer this wheel lasted than a regular wheel, but it wasn’t remotely close to the claimed “100 times.”
