Diablo’s new diamond metal cut-off wheels deliver extreme durability, minimal downtime and increased productivity. These diamond rimmed wheels deliver 100X longer cutting life versus a standard bonded cut-off disc in some of the most intense metal cutting situations. The wheel’s long lasting durability maximizes cutting even in extreme applications such as rebar, angle iron, cast iron and steel bar. Diablo’s diamond metal cut-off wheels not only provide long lasting cutting life, durability and control, but they also allow for a safer cutting experience.

I am a welder fabricator, this is the first time i ever used a diamond cutoff wheel ,it cuts beautifully i had to cut loose a tube i welded in wrong and this wheel , cut cleanly thru the weld with a narrow kerf an i was able to reweld the 5/8 tube to the frame without complete removal

cutting wheel does the job smoothly.

This cut off wheel did a fast and clean job. It would have taken 5 fiber wheels to get to the depth I needed.

I was skeptical when I saw this. I was there to get more of the abrasive thin kerf cutting discs. I saw this and decided to give it a try. I was going to cut 1/8″ metal hat channel, two at a time. With the abrasive disks I was able to cut 3. With this disk I was able to cute 14. I didn’t have any more to cut so can’t say it is 10x as many cuts.Pros: Lasted larger. Disk doesn’t shrink as it is used so you can still make those cuts in the corner. Less sparks and derby thrown.Cons: Loud. I know you should always wear ear protection.

When new these wheels cut cast iron and all thread rod like butter. I’m not sure if it has to do with the tar on the cast iron, but after 10-15 cuts the performance really drops off fast. Steel rod and angle iron do not seem to affect them as badly, but I still do not get the “advertised lifespan“.

cuts siding like hot knife to butter.

This doesn’t cut as fast as a bonded abrasive cutoff wheel, but it cuts well enough. Best thing about it is that it doesn’t disintegrate or explode. Staying the same size all the time might even offset cut speed vs having to change cut off wheels as they shrink.

I used this to cut through 2 fence posts that were concreted in the ground. Worked perfect. I was able to cut flush to the ground so I had less finishing work needed. This blade cut through the metal like a hot knife cutting through butter.

This is a first metal cutting blade I have purchased. I have always used the cutting disks but this time when I went to HD to buy more cutting disks, I noticed this blade and decided to give it a shot. Since the purchase, I have used it to cut mostly rebar using my 18V Makita grinder. I’m satisified
