This chisel worked perfect for my kitchen tile project. It slides under lip of tile and pops it up nicely. Most of the pieces of tile came up intact, which made demolishing and cleanup easy. Plus, a lot less sheetrock repair cost. I started my project with just the chisel and hammer. However, found using a electric hammer as suggested made it much easier. Instructions provide detail on hammer types and operation methods to use. You’ll see the quality and durability of the bit in the pictures. I’m sure it could handle a heavy duty project too.

The tile removal job I requested this for was postponed! These impressions are based on comparison to the made in China tile chisels I’ve been using. This bit is heavier but very close in length to the bits I’ve been using. Width is also the same as well as pitch. As it is a demo tool I expect it to perform as well or better than my cheap generics without chipping, fragmentation or failure. I will update accordingly.

If you need to remove tile quickly check this chisel out. The angel of the tip made it easy to dig in and get a good grip. Working with the right tools makes all the difference. It is a bit heavy with the tool to manage and get in the right place but I’d guess that’s expected for heavy duty projects. I would use this over hand chiseling for the efficiency and speed.

Did exactly what it had to do. Chip concrete.

We waited for the proper job to use the Diablo SDS-Plus Tile Chisel. We used the product in a rotary hammer to remove about 2,000 sq,ft of ceramic tile in an old Bank building. The chisel did remarkably well and held it’s edge through most of the project. We were able to dull the chisel when one of our men accidentally dug into the concrete slab. We were still able to finish the project with the same bit.We recommend this product.

DIABLO’s SDS-Plus and SDS-Max Tile Chisels is a durable tool with size designed to work well when removing tile. when attached to my rotary hammer drill it made pulling tile in the bathroom simple. its edge let me get down to the base floor and assist in removing grout. It is s must have tool for floor demolition as it even can be used to remove nails in the floor. I would recommend this product.

Great concrete chisel. Used it to break sections of concrete off and it worked as expected. Great SDS fit with no wobble. Self sharpening which helped out a lot and I will plan to use it a lot in the future. Great fluted design helps throw debris away from contact area. Love the fact it self sharpens. Makes work a lot easier and less worrisome. I’d buy more if If needed

Chisel was straight forward and easy to install in my hammer drill. I like that the chisel is angled so that it lays closer to the surface that I am working on. I used this chisel to remove concrete slag leftover from a masonry job years ago. This slag had been bugging me for years but. I didn’t want to use a straight chisel and chance damaging the concrete. I placed this angled flat chisel on the edge and it took off the slag without damaging the concrete surface. I can see where this chisel wound be invaluable for a tile removal job or something that requires to lift or separate material. I would recommend this chisel for anyone who has a SDS-Plus roto hammer/ hammer drill.

This Diablo chisel bit for a hammer drill is exactly what I needed. I started with a lesser brand to chip off old residue under hardwood floors I removed, and it pretty much wore me out. This is very robust and well machined, and made for the tough work on concrete. I won’t waste my time and mental health with another brand. This bit is a heavy weight, well-made product to handle the job much easier.
