Diablo’s new Sand Net discs have the most advanced sanding technology on the market with 10X longer life versus standard sanding discs. Each Sand Net disc features a clog-reducing net design coated in premium aluminum oxide grit for fast material removal while reducing material build-up. I love these nets over the traditional sanding discs. I use them on two different orbital sanders and have been happy with the performance. They don’t clog up in spots like usually happens on the regular discs, and they allow more dust to be pulled into the collection bag/chamber too. I’m not sure about a 10x life expectancy compared to traditional disc’s but there is a noticeable improvement of at least 5x.

I didn’t find these discs to last much longer than the regular Diablo discs, and they had a tendency to fly off then sander’s disc when in use.

Overall impressed, with exception of the 400 grit, reusable is only if you can remove the sheet without stretching it out, this sheet is a bit flimsy. The pack comes shuffled and takes a minute to sort out. Wish Diablo sold extra velcro pads, one comes inside but could use an extra in a multi pack as large as this.

This variety pack of Diablo sanding pads is a great deal. It brings different grits to attack a variety of projects. I use them with my Ryobi orbital sander and it works really well. I would definitely recommend.

Only disappointment was the attachment pad included with the sanding discs. The attachment pad included in my 50 pack was a hook and loop to hook and loop, NOT sticky pad to hook and loop as Lisa answered. I still needed to purchase to sticky pad conversion to hook and loop.

Excellent mesh discs for wood. Does an outstanding job on removing old varnish/poly without clogging up, wash afterwards to reuse. Sands swirl free from 80-400 grit for mirror finish on walnut, cherry and maple. For those that have a problem with it staying on or ruining your pad, you need an interface pad that fits your sander. This is designed to work that way.

I guess it depends on what you sand. These kind of remind me of the stuff you use to sand joint compound. I refinished a front door, it is 90 years old, wood checked badly. I filled the checks in with epoxy wood filler. I tried sanding with regular 60 grit sandpaper, it would load up with the epoxy almost immediately. The 60 grit Diablo worked incredibly well. When it loaded up, I removed the pad, put some mineral spirits on it, and smacked it against a work bench edge, all the buildup came off. One pad did the work of more than 10 regular sheets.

These sanding discs are great. Compared with traditional sandpaper, these are a mesh “fabric” that keep their “grit” for a very long time. Use them, clean them, and then use them again. The assorted pack should last me for a very long time. Now I just need a better random orbit sander!
