This bit did what I was expecting

I had to return this bit because it required a 1/2″ chuck, a fact that is not readily apparent from the packaging. However, I replaced it with the smaller Diablo bit and it was excellent. Cut through oak like butter. The Diablo bits are pricey but they work, which is something that cannot be said for all bits.

Rather be at work perfectly cut a three-quarter inch channel down the middle of a 4 x 4 and assemble the headboard for a queen bed

Excellent router bit. Cut very clean dado and was exact size.

Love these bits. They cut smith and have virtually no vibration.

did the job

This bit is exactly the size I needed. It is very sharp and cuts cleanly. What else can you say about a new router bit?

Does what a router bit is suppose to do over a lot of lumber

It did what I needed it to do.

Worked very well for me.

These Diablo router bits have carbide blades, which makes them excellent; don’t consider router bits that are not carbide. Years ago I bought a set of router bits because the cost was good, but they were not carbide. I’m now replacing the cheap ones with quality bits like this Diablo bit, I just buy the size bit I need one by one.

Removes material efficiently

Was building a new work bench and had several3/4″ dadoes to make with my Dewalt router. This bit did the job perfectly and was surprised how well it removed material. I expected to have to make a cut, then lower the bit to finish and discovered I could do the full depth in one pass.

Great router bit!Got this right after upgrading to a 1/2″ collet router. I have a lot less vibration and more stability with this bit than with a 1/4″ collet 3/4″ mortising bit. I used this to cut 3/8″x3/4″ rabbets and dados into 3/4″ maple plywood and it flew through the material and left a glue-ready finish. Really like this bit. Diablo makes the best medium price range bits and they have always lasted me a long time.

Excellent router bit. It’s very hard to find good 1/2″ shanks at box stores. Kudos for Home Depot for carrying some of them for us wood workers.

The bit is used for routing cabinets using Porter Cable 890 series router(s) both plunge and mounted in a Kreg table (all from HD by the way). The cut and longevity of the Diablo bits is far superior to that of the low cost bits from China commonly found in “sets” with 1/4″ shanks. If your router will except 1/2″ bits that is what you should use, and well worth the extra money paid for these high quality smooth cutting bits.

Can’t say anything bad about this bit. Have used it in a number of applications, including edge jointing boards on my router table, cutting large diameter circles (which also involved making plunge cuts) and cutting dados and rabbets for furniture and boxes. Have never noticed an issue with burning or a bad cut left from this. Definitely planning on buying other Diablo bits as a result of my experience with this one.
