I don’t have a drill press, so I used this for placing dowel pins. I made a zero clearance plate for my router so that the hole location was accurate. It worked great!

Great bit. I was using it to rout circles out of 1/2″ MDF and it worked like a charm. Cut really fast and didn’t gum up with the MDF. Worked exactly as expected.

I just cut a total of 366 lineal feet of 3/4″ deep groove on 4×4 Douglass fir. The bit is still going strong. Up spiral is great for smooth and clean cuts, however you may need to later use compressed air to blow the debris out of the groove. Excellent product.

The bit worked great but the shank broke into 3 pieces after only about 20 minutes of use. Home Depot was great and accepted the return.

Top quality Freud bit; terrible packaging.First off, as you can see from the laser etching on the shank, this is a Freud 75-102 router bit. I don’t know why Freud uses the “Diablo” branding for these bits when they sell them at Home Depot, since that brand is associated with their “contractor-grade” line of saw blades and other tools that are less expensive and less-heavy-duty than their industrial-grade tools. Weird. It’s a great bit. I use them in my CNC machine as well as hand-held use.I deducted 2 stars for the ridiculous packaging. For most Freud bits I’ve bought at woodworking supply stores, they come in a hinged plastic package that’s easy to open by just folding it open at the hinge and popping the shank out. For this bit, the bit is stuck into a plastic block which is sealed inside a plastic container. Cutting through the container is no big deal, but getting the bit out of the block had me completely stumped. No directions on how to do that are included, and it’s not obvious to me. I couldn’t pull it out by hand, especially with the sharp carbide edges. I didn’t want to use tools lest I chip the carbide or gouge the shank. I finally ended up use a few blocks of wood and a bolt in a vise to press it out by pressing the bolt through the hole at the bottom, but it’s ridiculous that it should be this much work.

This has upped my router game quite a bit with the ability to do engraving because it allows precision control, and also clean edges because it cuts consistently vs cheaper edge routing bits. Highly recommend, but you gotta watch out for any kickback that can break the bit. Work slowly and this will reward you.

Extremely sharp (I’d show you the cut on my thumb from pulling it out of its rubber grommet!), and very effective cutting action that pulls the sawdust up out of the routed path. I’m using it to cut round speaker holes in hardwood (using a circle jig I made). It works very well. Ridiculous packaging that requires an atomic weapon to break into, and I’m serious about the cut on my thumb! But, a great cutter.

Diablo products are one of the best products available. They stay sharp and cut with ease. 95% of my router bits are Diablo and outperform the other bits.

Didn’t seem to last as long as others

Cut very well but experienced about 1/32 taper in spiral cutter diameter. Not sure what the spec is for cutter diameter.

I have been using this bit to make mortises. Does a great job

This bit is a great little .25″ cutter. It has a high clearance up spiral that works great on MDF and hardwoods but will chip out edges in plywood due to the high clearance up spiral. It stays sharp and cuts clean, and can run at over 200IPM

Worked very with with my Bosch router for cutting out mortises for the table I’m making. Hopefully stays sharp for a long time.
