They may have some quality control issues with this one. I plunged the bit into a 1/4 inch plywood and it immediately broke. I exchanged it for a new one and that one plunged through 1″ of wood and easily cut through the wood with no problems and no breaking. It seems it depends how lucky you are whether or not you get one that works. When you get a good one it’s a good bit. It’s so nice to route without the burning that happens with straight flutes.

I like this better than the standard two flute bits. I think this cuts smoother and quicker. I’ve used this for cutting dado’s and slots for drawer bottoms. This is my go-to bit for 1/4″ work. I used this for cutting mortises in red oak and it worked well and cut smooth.

Worked great

The spiral flutes make a smoother cut than the straight flutes. There is no surface chipping with the spiral flutes

router bit is great. Packaging is REALLY annoying – very difficult to remove the bit, especially as the bit is so sharp

Worked great, just make sure it’s tight in the router. Noticed mine drop about a half inch on initial setup. Worked great to make perfect circles in mdf for a train platform under the Christmas tree!

Used this bit to cut out a 24″ circle from 1/2″ thick pine and it worked great!

It did the job well.
