after inserting the blade I squeezed the saw’s trigger for a “dry run”. I wasn’t optimistic when I saw the blade “swaying” back and forth. However, when I placed it on a 3 in. diameter tree branch it cut like hot knife on butter. I wasn’t able to cut this branch with my pole pruner. I believe it is not about the saw but the blade and this is the right blade for tree pruning.

I bought this to handle trimming a few large branches off my 30′ maple, as well as my 15′ apple tree. It handled the branches just fine. The largest branch I took off was about 6″ thick. I was concerned because I was using my cordless reciprocating saw, and I feared I would have to break own and buy a chainsaw; but this blade was the perfect solution. I definitely recommend it.

great home maintains blades. its a lot thicker than other blades that I’ve owned. It cut branches like butter. It’s a little pricy would buy a lot more to keep in the garage if bundle it larger quantity for a little less.
