I compared this product to the Diablo 3 TPI carbide teeth 9″ pruning blade which I had used to prune 6″ diameter limbs from a maple tree. I found no appreciable difference in the performance of both products. Both products performed well and I recommend both products.

I’ve been in the landscape industry for over 40 years and this blade along with a battery operated reciprocating saw is among my favorite tools for pruning woody plants. The blade easily makes cuts that are too large for pruners and holds its edge well. I use the combination for rejuvenation pruning of plants that have overgrown their space and to remove tree branches from small trees. I primarily use on wood diameter of 1 to about 2.5 inches, but when a chain saw is not handy it will it will slightly larger cuts.
