I chose this carbide tipped blade so I could compare it to a high end bi-metal blade. The first test was to cut 1/8″ Everbilt angle iron which is hardened and not easy to cut. Using my Sawzall (2400spm), both blades cut the angle iron reasonably well with the Diablo carbide blade making a cleaner cut. I then tested both blades cutting 1/4″ cast iron. Again, both blades cut the cast iron easily and again, the Diablo carbide blade produced a cleaner cut. No wear was noticeable on either blade so I cannot evaluate long term performance but I can say this blade works well.

I have used many Diablo blades and have never been dissapoined and the 9 in Steel Demon Amped exceeded my expectations. I love using it with my 20 volt max DeWalt and it never seems to dull even through 1/4 in steel angle. Recommend it for any tradesman or handyman.

I received this Amped sawsall blade about a week ago. I’m an electrician so I use it to cut EMT and rigid conduit and a lot of cuts in strut. Even though it’s only been a week, it’s not showing any signs of slowing down. It cuts as fast now as it did when new. Great blade.

An excellent blade that will stand up to some tough duty. I use a lot of saw blades and I can tell you that these Demon Carbide thick metal cutting blades are just great. From the photos you will see that I up this Diablo 9″ carbide blade to the test. The blade cut very straight and did not wonder around. The chip size is consistent and if you let the blade do the work, it did not get hot. You will notice that I even cut some welds and the blade cut smoothly through without any binding or jumping around. When I got done with this part, the teeth on the blade showed no significant wear. Note: welding causes steel to harden and thus is harder to cut and harder on cutting blades, so avoid them if possible. I highly recommend this blade for cutting steel with a reciprocating saw.
