DIABLO’s new range of Steel Demon AMPED reciprocating saw blades are AMPing Up thick metal cutting with the introduction of the industry’s first ever industrial grade coating, Black Industrial Cooling Element (I.C.E.). The ultra-slick Black I.C.E. provides the coolest and cleanest cutting edge and an ultra-superior chip evacuation. High performance carbide delivers an unmatched up to 50X longer cutting life in metal cutting applications ranging in thickness from 3/16 in. to 9/16 in. The combination of Black I.C.E. and DIABLO’s carbide delivers extended life and an impressive up to 2X increased performance versus standard metal cutting carbide reciprocating saw blades.
- DIABLO made TiCo hi-density carbide delivers the greatest durability and cutting performance in thick metal applications
- Black I.C.E. coating protects carbide cutting edge by creating a slick, lubricant like action for a cool cutting edge and superior chip evacuation
- Enhanced carbide tip to blade connection for extreme impact resistance
- 1 in. oversized blade body provides stability and rigidity for straighter cuts with less vibration
- Perma-SHIELD resists heat build-up by protecting the blade against gumming and corrosion

These blades have stood up to several days of cast iron and ductile iron pipe cutting. Bought a 3 pack and I haven’t swapped it out yet

I had some fun using this blade, it is designed for thick metal and I have 200′ of 3″ iron pipe to cut. I have used other Diablo blades and have had good luck with them. I suited up with my safety attire and chased the donkeys away so not to get in my way. I Started in for 30 seconds and checked progress, I had cut about 1/8″ into pipe. Once I restarted cutting, rate was steady and I was able to cut through relatively quickly. The cut was clean. I made a second cut further up pipe with same results and very little wear on the blade.(no pictures). The blade is definitely well made and designed for thicker metals. I have quite a few more cuts to make on this pipe. I recommend this for cutting metal stuff.

This blade is a beast! I wasn’t expecting much based on the weight of the blade, but wow did it get the job done. Several cuts through 1/2″ rebar…like buttah. Them I turned the blade to my new carbon steel frying pans. The handles on the largest pans I ordered were crazy long. Not any more! The blade definitely took longer to work through the pan handle, but still got the job done. Impressed.

I tested it on a full vehicle extrication exercise. We found it to last longer and better than dewalt Firefighter blades. This single blade cut 2 vehicles roofs with minimal damage. Time is critical and this did the job.

The Diablo 9”” , 8TPI Steel Demon Amped Saw blade is a very heavy duty reciprocating saw blade that will cut through cast iron, high strength alloys, and stainless steel with aggressive action. It will fit into most, if not all reciprocating saws on the market today. Makes short work of cutting cast iron piping, all types angle iron, and stainless steel structures. I have used a variety of Diablo saw blades and always found them to be high quality at a fair price.

Blades cuts fast through heavy duty cast iron pipes. Excellent product

My application was cutting cast iron drain pipe in 5 inch diameter. Much faster cut rate than any bimetal blade. Watch out for dirt and sand clogging the cut and causing the carbide teeth to strip out when cutting unburied old pipe. Clean the pipe off first to prolong blade life. One blade completed multiple cuts in cast iron pipe and minimized blade changes.

The carbide thick metal reciprocating saw blade is exactly as it states. It’s thick, sturdy and quick at cutting a 1/8″ angle bar. At first glance I thought that this blade is over-priced. However, after one use I have changed my mind and there’s no wear and tear on the blade. I won’t be buying any more metal blades if at all possible. There’s a 6″ blade available for smaller jobs, but with the outstanding performance of this 9″ blade, I will be sure to have a spare available just in case this one is temporairly misplaced. This Diablo Blade is impressive and a great blade to always have in my tool box.I do wish that it had a sleeve to slip the blade into for storage but even without it, I’ll buy this blade again.

I am a door contractor and this blade can go from cutting through nails to cutting through wood without skipping a beat. Saves from have to switch from metal blade to wood blade. it holds an edge for a long time without going dull.

This blade has found a spot in my saw all the time. As a building engineer, there’s a lot of routine repair and maintenance. But when things break, there’s little time to plan. The blade removes all-walls, damaged pipe, metal framing. Keeping it on hand has saved a lot of time when needed-but it might be cutting into my OT

Always been a fan of Diablo blades but they out did themselves on this one. I put the blade in my Sawzall to cut a 3′ cast iron soil pipe in place It cut it like butter . At first I thought it was just soft but I hade to drill it later it was tuff stuff. so its been in the saw on the job site now about two weeks and its still going strong. Cutting Unistrut to all thread

I was referred to use these a few years ago. I’ve actually gotten to the point i go out of the way to buy them or go to a store that sells the Diablo brand

I cut over 100 pieces of 1/2 IN’ rebar and the blade still cuts. Great blade.
