You can easily cut hardened screws with these blades and the teeth do not wear out quick. Would highly recommend

Had to cut a very old A-frame made with hard steel. The DIABLO CARBON TIPPED reciprocating blade was fantastic! It cut through 10x faster than a manual hacksaw.A great purchase to invest in.

I have not found the perfect blade that will work all day to cut black cast pipe – I needed something to hold up well for doing plumbing on old pipes for Boy Scouts – These held up really well and saved me from constantly changing blades – I can speak from experience on changing a blade after each 4 inch pipe being cut – I did 4 pipes and it still could do more.

Made a great first cut in the cast iron pipe but quickly deteriorated one the second and third cuts. Had to use 3 blades to make 10 cuts on 3″ pipe. Disappointed in how quickly the blade lost it’s cutting speed.

Cut 4″ cast iron pipe with a 10 Amp Porter-Cable reciprocating saw. It made about 4 cuts before it seemed to slow down. My 4.5″ angle grinder with a Rigid Diamond wheel cut much faster, but with a lot of dust and it couldn’t access the down-side of the pipe, so I stuck with the Diablo. I’d definitely start any cut with an angle grinder, as this blade didn’t really want to dig-in at first, at least with my 10A saw – admittedly underpowered.
