I finally purchased a reciprocating saw and I needed some blades. I picked a pack up these 14/18 TPI Medium Metal blades and they worked perfectly for my job. I had numerous metal pipes (the type used for chain-link fences) to shorten by a few inches. This blade went through the metal “like a hot knife through butter.” Really.Excellent product. I had to cut between my ground plates and a cement pad. I had 25 J-bolts to sever in order to remove my large shed from its pad (moving it to make room for a detached garage). These blades lasted longer than then Harbor Freight brand i was using to cut the bolts. The impact with the concrete really reduced the life of the blade as they wedged between the concrete and wood towards the metal j-bolt. The carbide tipped blade was great. I will be purchasing another set to have on hand, Im sure they will last much longer when not being overheated by cement.

Demo’d a complete 14×30 shelter/shed made od HD 2.5″ powdercoated tubeular construction, started with a “inexpensive” blade and went through 5 in about an hour it just took one of these to complete the job, which was another 4 hours. They cut wuth ease with a minimum of ‘walking’ stay sharp much longer and are very sturdy

I didn’t think these blades would be able to cut through a 3″ inch steel pipe or a 6″ cast iron pipe, so I bought the diamond blade as a backup. I didn’t need the diamond blade. I only used one of these blades and it zipped through several 3″ steel pipes in less than a minute each. It took just over two minutes for the same blade to eat its way through the cast iron pipe. These blades get the job done and quick.
