I had a pile of old well casing and iron DWV pipe that needed to be cut up into smaller pieces so I could load it by myself. I don’t have a chain breaker so I thought I would try these prior to renting one. I burned up one blade and started another but I was able to finish, probably made 40 cuts in all.

Freud Diablo Steel Demon Bi-Metal Reciprocating Saw BladeI used these metal saw blades with a Ridgid 4-Amp Pro Compact Reciprocating Saw to cut 16d nails for a deck renovation project. I burned through an entire set of six cheapo no name blades cutting nails to free the boards and expected these blades would also be short lived, but after cutting over 100 16d nails, the original blade still has teeth and is sharp. The 9 in length is allows a little flex in the blade for getting into tight spaces. Using the same blade, I cut full lengths of 6-foot wire grids and ¼-inch structural angle for a storage system I’m installing in an outdoor shed. After all that, I decided to retire the blade and install another for use on my next project. These blades are medium tooth which I find is useful for most jobs. These bi-metal Freud Diablo blades are of very good quality and I highly recommended them for general use.
