Worth its weight in gold, this razor-sharp bit carves wood like butter, slicing through the hardest of stock with ease. My collection of paddle bits will now be gathering dust and rust and’ll eventually wind up in the trash. Oh cherished Forstner bit, you have transformed my life forever.

We needed a lot of this size for a large Trex project that took an oversized fastener. Work perfectly and at a reasonable price.

I own several of the Diablo Forstner bits and I am very happy with them. They cut well, have a good polish so they don’t bind or squeak, and so far hold their edge well. They are priced right. I don’t agree with calling these High-Speed though. Can they run at high speed, sure, but can they and should they are not the same. It’s okay on a small one, but a large Forstner has a huge amount of torque, and running these at high speed is not a safe practice. In a hand drill it can spin the drill out of your hand, and on a drill press good clamping is critical to prevent spinning a work piece.

The drill bit was used on treated wood. The bit worked perfectly. The ability to chuck and have no slippage was very useful.

Drill was exactly what I needed for a special project which meant I had to drill almost 100 holes, not all the way through the board. Cuts were perfect and did not splinter the wood. Great product.
