The Diablo high-speed steel forsnter bit set drills straight, angled and overlapping flat bottom holes in all types of wood. Forged construction of the hardened steel body for a longer bit life and a sharper cutting edge. These bits feature a double-ground serrated edge for less splintering and chipping.
- Steep, angled cutting edges produce smooth, flat holes and create chisel-like curls for fast, clean chip removal
- Ultra-sharp spur guarantees an accurate hole without walking on the material
- Requires minimum chuck size of 3/8 in.
- Forsnter bit set includes the following bits: 1/2 in., 3/4 in., 1 in, and 1-3/8 in.

Trust me these are very good quality bits. They make very clean cut. I have also tried out the porter cable bits from lowes when they were on sale, i returned it immedately after the first two cuts. I wish diablo sells sets that include more bit sizes.

Cuts through wood very well, but if you accidentally hit any metal, it will immediately dull the bits and renders them useless.

Was looking at getting the Bosch kit, but didn’t have time to wait for it to come in the mail so I bought these instead. Excellent all around and true to size, only wish that it came with something to store the bits in, but that will make a nice project.

The Diablo Forstner Bit Set has performed exceptionally well for me. I use them for creating mortis and tenon joints, creating candle holders in 4×4’s and numerous other woodworking related tasks. Initially, I almost chose Ryobi’s set because the price is more in line with my budget. After using the bits, I quickly reached the conclusion that they are a game changer. Caution, the bits are very, very sharp! With that said, I have less issues with drill press binding.

Nice, small set of Forstner bits. Primarily intended for drilling flat bottomed holes in wood. These cut cleanly and nicely. These are the sizes I most frequently replace. They are sharpenable, but you have to be very patient and I am not.
