I use this in a drill press for boring in wood and counterboring for large screw heads to seat them flush or lower. It creates a nice, flat bottomed hole. The center point makes an excellent center punch for the through hole drill for the screw or bolt. Using this in a hand drill requires a little more caution as any off axis pressure will cause the bit to grab. No surprise there.

Arrived on time and as always these forstner bits that diablo makes a razor sharp. I use them on 3/4 ” plywood for tie holes on walls and it takes a good while for them to get dull.

Did the job i bought it for. Works pretty well for most drilling operations, but it did struggle a bit when drilling into end grain, as do most drill bits.
