This is my go-to bit for 3/4 holes – through holes and non-through holes. I like the way it cuts through the wood and leaves a smoother hole and bore than the spade bits I have. Will likely invest in the diablo forstner bit set in the future but started with this bit. I’ve used and abused this bit and it still cuts very well. I like diablo because their bits, router bits, and saw blades last a long time.

Sharp blade with clean cuts.

An old dull Diablo forstner is better than a new Irwin. I will drive across town to buy another one before I will walk across the parking lot to pick up another Irwin

After having to deal with a dull blade, got this and it made a world of difference. Not used long enough to comment on the longevity, but out of the box, it is great.

Was able to drill a couple hundred holes effectively without losing too much sharpness

Cut several holes in a media center to accommodate cabling with his bit. The holes were cut nice and clean with very little effort. I can’t say how long this bit will last but it does the job very well.
