The bit was perfect for my job and bored a nice smooth hole, faster than other brand forstner bits I have used.

Wow! What can I say about this drill bit that can’t already be said. It cuts holes. The holes have flat bottoms. I guess that’s it. Home Depot support, if your reading this, perhaps don’t require that people leave a 50 character review for items like drill bits, screws, gravel, bags of sand, etc.

I use this bit to help carve out parts of awards that I build for folks. It has proven in just two uses that it was the right bit for the job. It cuts clean with no chipping or stalling. Very nice bit for the price.

Tried to use a drill bit, hard on my drill and hand, not only that it took time and effort for a single hole, the tool in question voids all the problems I had.

Excellent craftsmanship – first time using a forstner bit to make a hole on a router table I built for my trim router, couldn’t be happier – clean accurate cures and sharp

This is the forstner bit you want … if you want a forstner bit.

I was really impressed with how clean of a cut this forstner bit provided, but it has to be used on a high-speed drill. This bit is about as sharp as a knife and is meant for cutting very clean holes/depressions in a finished piece, such holes a spade bit cannot reliably do. My first project with the bit was cutting depressions to fit dowels for a children’s play ladder. The bit drilled quickly but allowed for good depth control. It cleaned saw dust and cuttings out very well. The center spur is a great feature for accurate holes as well. Ideally, you want to use this bit on a drill press but I was able to level it well on my hand drill. I used my DeWalt XR at it’s fastest mode (2,000 RPM) and the holes were near flawless. I experimented at a slower speed on scrap wood and the hole splintered. This bit fits a 3/8″ chuck and is made in Austria, so you know it is quality. The bit also needs to remain sharp so store it well.

amazing quality , highly recommend for a recess fasteners , carriage or other type of bolts, the reason for 4 stars, is at the base i wish the company made it square so it grabs better on the drill chuck, i had to keep tighten the the chuck, other than this it is awesome, be careful with the pressure you apply as it really goes in very easily, truly great product

Frued makes a great product and this was no different. Super sharp and did what I needed it to do, make holes perfectly.

Works perfectly. I needed to make a couple bed slats to provide extra support for the mattress and box spring. Got the job done quickly with the help of home depot!

I like the tool because it does what it suppose to do quickly.

I used this Forstner Bit to remove excess material in a mahogany bodied guitar I was routing. It worked beautifully. It also prevented unnecessary wear on a very expensive bearing bit and my router. In fact, it cut holes so smooth and cleanly I will use the DIABLO Forstner Bit to cut holes instead of my hole saws in the future. $13 well spent.

I purchased this forstner bit because I needed to drill a 1 inch hole in the bottom of a leg on a rolling cart for the kitchen in order to reinforce the caster wheel. Like most diablo bits, it didn’t disappoint. Very sharp out of the package and accurate. Would recommend it.
