Used for fence holes

Great bit! Diablo products are always super sharp right out of the package and maintain their edge over repeated usage.

This bit did the job for me. Hooked it to a Hole Hog or some such thing, but would work with any electric drill (preferably not battery powered).
Brielle Oberbrunner (verified owner) –
I used the bit to drill an angled hole. The Forstner bit worked perfectly!
Fanny Kling (verified owner) –

Drilled holes like a champ. I would recommend this product

I splurged on this bit on the assumption it was as good as the Diablo blades I use in my saws. Well, it isn’t! I have drilled one hole, 3 1/4″ deep, in a piece of Bradford pear. The blade edge is shot. It is too dull to cut anything else.I have the files to sharpen it but should I have to after one usage? For a very limited use situation this product is okay. For anything else get something better!

Forstner bit drilled through 6 inch pressure treated wood like it was butter. Every tool guy should have one.
Ollie Yost (verified owner) –
Cut very quickly and clean just as I knew it would Diablo bits never let me down
Mckayla Howell (verified owner) –
Worked as expected. No issues.

design results in smooth wall and a flat, level-floored hole. Slight tendency to slip and chatter if being used free-hand rather than in a press, but more an inconvenience rather than a fault. Good bit.
Laurianne Langosh (verified owner) –
Super sharp, cut a series of perfectly smooth holes.

I was given a set of forstner bits. They couldn’t cut thru butter. This bit is fantastic! I will continue to use Diablo/Freud bits. Yes, it does work in a cordless drill.

I needed to drill a 2″ hole in a finished desktop and this fit the bill. It cut the hole cleanly without any extra marking on the tabletop and easily cut through the pine. The exit was in thin material like luan and this was much more problematic. Had I taped the exit hole before drilling it I might have had a better outcome. Does a great job on hard or soft wood however.
