   As an owner of two DS40 units, I travel shooting Ballroom dance comps and use both to print between 1200 and 4000 prints per event. At this volume and constant use, I can confidently say that these units are not confidence inspiring as I have never shot an event without multiple jams of the paper roll and occasionally the ribbon. However, one thing we have noticed is that if you run out of paper but not ribbon, you really need to change both anyway. A new roll of paper with a partially used ribbon seems to cause the bulk of jams for some reason. We started changing both at the same time and things were much smoother and less stressful. Don’t tip the printer on its side or upside down when transporting the printers if there are trimmings in the collection cup as they will get lodged in the cutter or paper path resulting in a printer offline for 20-45 minutes. The latest firmware and drivers offered significantly improved color and exposure over the original software from when we purchased these. No other printer is as cost effective on small prints. If it didn’t jam, it would get 5 stars.

   great paper, great printer, and the pictures come out with great clarity. One small flaw, though. The ribbon runs out at about 385 pictures, and the roll has about 400 pictures worth of paper.

   Really easy to setup, even more easy to load the paper and film. Prints look awesome and spot on for color. I own a Print & Copy business and this is going to make an awesome addition to my business. I will be getting the DS80 once I start selling a lot of 4×6’s.

    Love the DNP 40 printer and have been using it for a few years. I buy 5×7 paper and always had 2 rolls of 200 to equal to 400 prints per box, I ordered the same this past week and when I got the box it said there is 2 rolls of 230 to equal 460 prints. Looking at the picture in the preview for the product it reflects the 400 prints per box, what I’d like to know is if I buy this again will I get the box with 400 or 460? Reason for asking is because we’re calculating per print pricing and with 60 extra prints might not seem like much but it helps our bottom line when print cost are a bit less per cost.

    Of course the paper and ribbon always is the best from B&H. The only issue is on the picture on the web site there is an A after the stock number on the box. We questioned it by chat and the person on line did not see an issue with it but different number, different item in my book. When the product arrived that A was not on the box. Picture is a bit inaccurate!

    Love this paper, the gloss finish is amazing. I use this to print 4×6 event photos and Photo Booth events. What a great combination or printer and paper and at .$ cents a print its cheeper than @ at .$ cents per print so why pay more, event with labor you still don’t have to drive to @ and wait in line to pick up your prints. Do it at home.

    Using 8×12 paper to allow me to print 3 up 4×8 Christmas cards and 4 up 4x6s This paper makes dye sub prints that look like lab prints or even better.

    The printer was easy to install on Win 8. The initial prints were horrible since we are accustomed to working with Epson inkjet printers. After a lot of tweaking and monitor adjustments, the prints are of professional quality. Excellent color depths however you do sacrifice whites due to paper emulsion not being as bright. Turn the printer on and it is ready within seconds. Prints come out in 30 seconds, cut and ready to deliver.

    I bought three of them for my photo booths, 2 of them stoped working after 2000 hundred photos. . .go for RX!, I have 6 of DNP RX1 for last 5 years, they never Jammed.

    Paper and ink worked fine. Does not come with spacers needed to use with printer if you don’t have them. Paper roll will move when printing but will still work. Margin will move.
