   Bought the DNP DS40 recently to use for printing at events. We were so impressed with the quality of the print that we decided to use it for our portrait customer’s 4×6 and 5×7 prints.Cons: Currently the print drivers for MAC cause the printer to stop being recognized, and the printer has to be removed and added every time it is used again. DNP stated there will be an update shortly. This is a Yosemite, and possibly a Mavericks isssue.I would like to see more of their software compatible with Mac since our company uses only Macs.Overall this has been a great addition, and hope that the previous reviews about longevity prove to be true.I am reserving the 5th star for the software update and the fact we have only had it a short time.

   We use it in a photo kiosk-not a hobby toy!! very fast & so far, very dependable! Heavy, but I think that is mainly because it is built like a tank!!

    I have the DS80 and added the DS40 to accommodate demand during events. This printer does not disappoint at all. Very good quality, super fast print speed, built like a rock! Please do note::: if you buy this printer and want to print 5×7 photos, YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE THE SPOOL EXTENDERS SEPERATELY! I did not know this until I went to install the paper… Maybe this review will save someone else from the hassle of having to wait for extenders to come in…

    With all the problems with supplies, even if 6×8 is 40$ more than 4×6 (that is not available since months….) at least I can do my jobs! Just need to adapt prices and customers do understand. And directly shipped in two days in Qubec. Thank you guys!

    what can you say it’s a media kit that goes with the DS80. Has directions printed on both the ribbon to show how to load. Just make sure you get any sticky off the paper from the tab that keeps it from unrolling, because if you don’t it will get caught up and in printer and jam up. Great cost for the job it does…equals out to .88 cents per 8×10

    DNP makes great products. I use this paper for events and the photos are ALWAYS a hit! I use the 5×7 size because it’s the sweet spot for impact.

    We use this media at one of our photography concession sites. Good, clean, fast printing with no hassel. After discovering that this is a regularly stocked item, we have dropped our previous supplier completly. It cost a little more through B+H, however, the consistantcy of ordering, availability … makes up the difference.
