Love this printer, use it to run a photobooth. Only thing is to be sure to clear the scrap before traveling, scraps can get in the printer and mess up future prints.

Recently had back to back spring fair events on the weekend and the DS40 just kept on going. Prints were sharp with abit of an adjustment and the matte finish was not bad. So far so good.

Overall this a great work horse of a printer. I have 8 of these printers and all seem to be working great still after almost a year. I use them for 8-10 hours a day of constant printing and non have over heated in a well vented room. Only one of the printers has started to squeek while printing. The colors of the print are the most vibrant and truest I have seen on any event printer. The paper quality on the DS-40 6×8 print kits is very close to card stock/post card thickness. The prints also tear somewhat easily in both directions. Overall a great printer for events. The front loading of the ribbon and paper makes life easy when stacking the printers. Only gets 4 stars and not 5 due to paper quality.
