   Photo quality every time. Easy to use. I love my DNP printers and paper. Just remember that you must use the 5″ printer spacer kit with these print rolls. It sells here on B&H for about $10.

   The DNP printer is a step above the Snaplab printer. The upfront cost is more but you will save money with the paper in the long run. The quality of the prints is also a significant jump. The highlights are less likely, to wash out becoming muddy. The paper feels to be a heavier stock and the printer is fast!Please note, if this is the first time ordering the 5×7 printer paper, you must order the DNP 5 x 7 Print Spacer for DS40 Digital Photo Printer for $ or you will have jerry rig the roll to make it all work. These are two plastic reels that you put on each end of the paper roll to make the paper fit properly into the printer.

   I have been using the DS80 forbears now. I shopped around and decided a long time ago that B&H has the best price and gets my order to me in a very timely manor.

   Used the Olympus P400 and then Sony UP-DR80 before this dye sub printer. Generally, the colors are excellent and the glossy and matte options very convenient. However, the Sony had much richer blacks and black & white images had neutral grays, whereas the DNP-DS80 look toned and have a color cast. After printing hundreds of 8×10, we did run into 2 rolls that were defective and created color scratches mid-roll. We order this product annually and by the time we encountered the problem, we were told any warranty or return had expired. It’s a bit noisy, but the noise is not unpleasant.

   My husband and I have a small photo shop, and print pictures in 8×10 or 5×7 pretty frequently. Bought a box of this paper, and had no problems with the first roll- very good quality. However, the second roll produced dots all over the pictures we printed, and very sporadically. After printing 5 or 6 of the same photo, we finally got one with no spots. We thought the problem was solved, but it wasn’t. We have used up lots of prints we have been unable to sell, just to get one that was spot free. The company offered to give us a new roll, if we returned the one that we are currently using. Not a bad offer, however, since we have used up so much of the roll, we see no point in returning it. We’ve burned a lot of time, and a lot of paper. Probably won’t buy again, as we don’t want to waste our money.

   So nice to change paper and ink every 400 shots! Awesome! The printer comes with no media, so you have to buy this at the same time as the printer FYI.

    I purchased this product for on location event printing capabilities such as weddings and green screen photos. The ease of use, print speed, and print quality are fantastic. The cost per image is the best on the market. The only reason for giving this printer 4 stars is that the company has not yet released a print driver for Mac 10.8. I am an all Mac photographer and waited for several months before upgrading to 10.8. Much to my surprise, DNP has not yet released a driver and the current driver for 10.7 will not install. I am using a friend’s computer on loan to make prints. This is the only complaint but a big one if you have already upgraded your OS.

    This product is easy to use. It’s just installed inside of a printer. The great thing about this product is that it will last up to several rentals and it was at a good price.

    Best decticated photo printer there is. Roll paper printing easiest with best color. Install paper and dye image roll and your good for hundreds of prints.

    I recently purchased two ds 40 printers to do on site santa pictures. Im new to this, and purchased the Ds 40’s on the recomendation of the sales person at B&H. The printers are great. They are easy to load, print quality is wonderful, and the speed is as advertised. I think it is a great product
