Excellent paper. Good size roll for events.

Great paper and ink

These 6×8 prints look substantially larger than the 5×7 and it is the largest print alternative with this printer. It can also be used for 4×6 prints and there won’t be any waste if printing in pairs.

Excellent quality

I use this product for event photography.

The printer is easy to work with and set up was pretty easy too. I have an older computer so I had to call to troubleshoot…they were so responsive and ready to help. The printer is fast but pretty noisy so you could never use it during a function while there is a speaker…otherwise it’s great.

Great photo paper. Prints like a champ on the DS40. If you buy this media pack for the DS40, you have to have spool extenders. I was unaware of this when I ordered and had to wait for the extenders to come in before I could use it.

The DNP printer is a step above the Snaplab printer. The upfront cost is more but you will save money with the paper in the long run. The quality of the prints is also a significant jump. The highlights are less likely, to wash out becoming muddy. The paper feels to be a heavier stock and the printer is fast! Please note, if this is the first time ordering the 5×7 printer paper, you must order the DNP 5 x 7 Print Spacer for DS40 Digital Photo Printer for $ or you will have jerry rig the roll to make it all work. These are two plastic reels that you put on each end of the paper roll to make the paper fit properly into the printer.

Product works as advertised. Had to play with color adjustments to get it printing correct colours as it was not well calibrated out of the box, but otherwise its working really well in the field. Wished that DNP sold ribbons separately as we have a lot of paper left on rolls.

Yes, the ribbon fits, and the paper roll goes into its proper place! Not only that, but even teenagers can perform this relatively simple maneuver! So, if you are the proud owner of a DNP DS80 dye-sublimation printer, look no further! This is the stuff of which prize-winning 8×10 inch prints are indeed made!

If you are looking for good quality print then use a quality paper/ink set. You cannot go wrong with DNP product.

We print on location and from our studio on this paper. It is fast and great quality. Not quite as good as Epson paper with Epson ink, but better than any other in my opinion.

I used to love this product until… I own a golf course photography company and we take pictures of golfers on vacation and print 5×7 prints for memorabilia. I had within 2 years switched to these new printers from the ink jet ones (about 12 printers purchased over that time. This was a huge expense but the quality I could provide my customers was worth it. I was able to purchase 20-30 boxes at a time and get special pricing for this product for around $99.00. The price would slowly rise over time… It was then $120.00, then more and then more and now it’s about $225.00 per box. Not only has the price gone up, but there is no stock anywhere. I was forced to purchase at least two other printers to get buy as it was the only one with any stock. I now have 12 printers that I cannot use! And even when there is stock the price is $125 more than when I decided to switch over. Why is it that other 5×7 paper is less expensive but this one seems to just rise? So, because there is no stock, they get to start charging a ridiculous amount? I bought these printers to create and provide better product. I cannot charge more for my product or I will shut down due to no sales and I cannot make money based off of what the material cost is now. Thank you for caring about the small businesses that use this product as their base of their company! No stock = higher prices! Wish I could just print 4×6 but even that is hard to get, and those prints don’t fit on the 9×12 plaques that I sell. What a shame.

I’ve used HITI products for many years and was happy with it. Now I switched to DNP and I am happier 😀 !

I do lots of in house package printing and with the cost per print being less than my local lab, I find it hard to beat.

If you are planning on printing portraits, don’t waste your money on this printer. This is a piece of junkcolorwise. Skin colors all come out very red. I found this is an ongoing problem from doing a search on this brand. The disc the company sent contains old drivers from 2007. Had to go online to get the new driver, which made absolutely no difference. I also tried to print some landscape photos we took in Switzerland but those came out very muted in color. If you’re going to spend this kind of money, get an Epson P-800. You will be VERY satisfied!

I’ve owned the DNP printer for several years and it’s proven to be well worth the price. Printing proofs from your desktop in seconds has great advantages. The average person would not be able to tell the difference between these prints and professional print services. The DS80 pack lets you switch back and forth between 8×10 and 8×12 with ease. Cost per print is very reasonable. I’d buy this unit and the print supplies again in a heartbeat.
