Like the design and color but the latch feels a bit flimsy; it doesn’t always catch when closing so I always wiggle it to make sure it’s latched properly. The gate is sturdy when closed – so much so that it didn’t budge when I slipped on the top step and I grabbed the gate for support. packaging was poor-both the gate and extension came in boxes with the corners ripped open and the edges of the gates scraped and worn- you don’t see it since they are up against the walls but all other gates I‘ve purchased came with cardboard corners to protect the gates during shipment. wish the opening was a little wider but overall am happy with this gate for the top of our stairs.
