   We have the Dawson Gates which we love but needed a wider gate for another doorway. This Chelsea Gate Kit also gives us the option of using the gate with extensions in other areas – a win, win! This is another winning gate by Dreambaby but since it doesnt come in silver to match the Dawson gate, we choose the black for a better color match.We absolutely love that this gate has ALL the same features as the Dawson just the style is a little different. It auto closes and has the hold open features as well! This is another heavy duty metal gate that should last us for years to come. This gate also was super easy to install. No drills/tools are needed, you just install and turn the tension knobs to tighten the gate into your doorframe. Happy repeat customer!

   I use the Boston Magnetic auto-close security gate and it works great. The auto close feature is great but the gate is overall very sturdy. I had closed the gate before and my little one tried to push it open and can’t. The lock is tight and secure and my little one can’t open it. As for adults, it’s pretty easy to open with pushing and lifting up the gate. I would definitely recommend this product.

   This gate is blocking the kids from getting into the kitchen. It was super easy to put in place and I love how you don’t need to screw it into the wall. I like how easy it is for me to open it and I would absolutely by this item again.

   This is a really great kit to help get started on childproofing. We put off childproofing for a while and suddenly our little girl was getting into everything. It was nice to have this kit ready when we needed it. The items included are basic, but I don’t want to invest a lot of $ in childproofing. I’d rather have simple and effective than expensive fancy locks.

    With previous great experiences with Dreambaby products, I knew that when our baby started to move around the house it was time to research gates. My wife and I wanted a sturdy and functional gate. We also needed two for both ends of our stairs. We decided on the Chelsea gate based on height and strength. The gates arrived in perfect condition and nicely packaged. I knew that I would have to make some adjustments due to the staircase handrails, no fault by Dreambaby. For the bottom of the stairs I had to remove a piece of molding and the handrail, which I easily recut and re-installed the handrail. The gate installed just as detailed in the instructions. Please don’t worry about the gate being bent. As you tighten all the gaps close to function perfectly. The top of the stairwell was a different install. The way the wall and handrail were built I needed to place the gate flush with the last step. This may not be manufacture approved, but the base bar is not in the way and also functions perfectly. Our baby has tried to test the gate by grapping and shaking the gate, and the gate does not move. It’s sturdy just like we wanted. I enjoyed installing the gate and am thankful to Dreambaby for an outstanding product that most importantly keeps our baby safe. What more could you ask for?

    Easy to install, and I like the sleek look of this gate. It’s clean looking & well made. I also appreciate that it’s easily wiped down when it gets a little dirty (it’s used for keeping cats & dogs seperated while eating).

    I have a 1 year old very hyper lab and we finally found a gate she cannot jump over or knock down! The gate swings both ways and is wide enough for carrying laundry baskets through! i would recommend this to anyone with a strong dog that likes to jump or any parent with busy babies, no worries they cannot get anything stuck in the railing and they also extend!

    This Chelsea gate combination kit with the extensions was a great purchase. First of all, purchasing as a kit saved money over shopping around for gates and extenders to fit my large doorway. Secondly, with the included extensions, this gate can be used in other areas of the house if I need to move it. I don’t have any kids but wanted a gate to keep the dogs out of my bedroom until doggy ‘bedtime’. This way they are not tracking mud into my bedroom or chewing treats and toys apart on my bed – messy! The gate shuts automatically so I don’t have to worry about them sneaking in! The gate was pretty easy to put up as it doesn’t require any tools. It really looks nice in either my modern bedroom décor on one side or the natural hues and woodsy living room vibe on the other. Although my big dogs ‘respect’ this gate and don’t try to knock it down, it is a very sturdy metal gate.

    I tried the Boston dreambaby slimline auto close gate and thought it was a great product. It’s a great gate for babies, toddlers, and also training puppies. It is easy to open and close and looks nice in the home as well. I would definitely purchase this product and recommend it to anyone with small children or animals.

    We shopped around for a while looking for an affordable sturdy gate that would last some time for a growing family and are glad we chose the Chelsea by Dreambaby. I’m only giving this a 3 star rating because there is no 3.5. We love the gate but wish there were more color and finish options other than black or white. And understand that it is a tension mount gate, but it did get hard to tighten the tension knobs by hand when putting it up. With that said, we do love this Chelsea gate. With two little ones and a third on the way, we needed a strong sturdy gate that would hold up to the abuse of a growing family. I can open this gate with one hand and a babe on the hip! Yet, this gate will close behind me and lock so I don’t have to worry. It’s really a sturdy gate holding up to crawlers learning to pull up on everything to motor around. My husband is a kind of ‘step over’ kind of guy, being tall, but we do like the ‘open door’ feature as this is in a high traffic area, the main room of the house, so there is a lot of ins and outs. It’s nice to have the hands free when you are carrying all the baby bags, seats, etc. back and forth. This feature is great for bringing in the groceries too.
