   I really like the Boston Auto Close Gate. It has a wider gate opening than my other pressure mounted gate and can swing open both ways. You can see in the picture I attached how much wider it is (my Boston gate is black and my older gate it white). It is also much easier to release one handed. Just slide your thumb and lift up. The auto close feature is also very nice and if you push the gate all the way open, you can lock it in that position if you want it to stay open for a long period of time when you don’t need to use it as a gate, but don’t want to remove it, either.

   We purchased this gate to keep my son out of the kitchen now that he is crawling. Since travel between the kitchen and the living room has to happen multiple times a day it is great that this gate can be opened with one hand. We used the pressure mounting feature since we are currently renting this house and want to be able to take the gate with us without damage to the walls. My son has tried a few times to pull up on the gate and it has not moved at all. I also like the stay open feature so that once the little one is in bed we are able to leave the gate open for the adults. The mounting cups made this much easier to position. It did take two adults to get everything situated but that was expected in putting up a sturdy gate. This is definitely something that we would purchase again should the need arise.

   There are a great deal of choices when it comes to baby gates, & all find one that is their favorite. This gate is mine. It’s simple to install, nice to look at, pocket friendly, & super safe. Has a ton of user friendly features, & is easily cleaned when sticky fingers wrap around the bars. Would highly recommend to anyone looking.

   Easy to install baby gate. Did not need to install any hardware into the walls first – thank goodness! Simple to use with one hand. Kids can’t open as you have to actually lift the gate after using latch. So kids just pushing on or trying to climb the gate is not going to make it come open. Happy with my purchase so far!

   It was time that I finally purchased a baby gate since my 1 year old has started exploring the house more. I wanted to keep him safe while also providing a way for the rest of the family to move freely through the rest of the home so I purchased this gate by Dreambaby. This particular gate is a BIG improvement from the gates I used when my older children were younger (cheap wooden gate that pinched fingers and had to be pushed closed and caused numerous pinched fingers or plastic gates where the child can climb up the tiny beehive like holes) and this gate also has a door that can be placed in the “open” position for long periods of time…unlike others that immediately swing shut. Some of the great features this gate offers…that i love…is the auto close, smart stay open (you can do laundry and leave open at night without running into the gate), simple installation without the need for tools or hardware, EZY check indicator (red and green) shows you if the gate is locked (red) or unlocked (green) so there is no second guessing if the door is locked or if the tension on the gate is loose. The gate itself is 30.9 x 29.4 x 2.5 and weighs just 12 lbs. Included with the gate are 2 extensions, 4 tension knobs, 4 mounting cups, 4 adhesive pads, 4 screws and an instruction manual. This gate fits doorways, hallways, and stairways from 29.5″ – 38″. I really like how easy the gate is to open since the latch does not require a multitude of ways you have to push/press it to open it…just push the latch forward, lift the door up and push outwards. Also, the child can not climb out of this gate since the gate has vertical bars as its nearly impossible for a child to get traction that way. The gate itself is a perfect height…I’m 5’3 and it stops at my waist. I am able to open and close the gate with one hand and not have any trouble. A great solution for keeping my son safe while affording me the opportunity to get things done around the house. I was offered this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest opinion.

   I’m a first time mom and this was a perfect starter kit for me. It let me get familiar with all the “basics” to start baby proofing and I just went and added the extra outlet plugs and other pieces I needed. For the price this is really a great place to start.

   My wife actually bought this gate online for when the grandchildren often visit. Simple to install but getting the tension dialed in right got tough to turn the discs. It is very sturdy – holds up to my grandson pulling on it. We like the hold open gate to walk through when they are not visiting. Nice looking gate.
