The Dreambaby Standard Height Chelsea Auto-Close Security Gate with Smart Stay-Open Feature is perfect for parents who need functionality in addition to security. This gate features a unique Magnetic Locking System that will ensure the gate closes automatically and securely from any distance. The Smart Stay-Open feature holds the gate door open and is perfect for when you need to move freely through the barrier, such as when you are carrying groceries or clearing the table. With simple, tool-free, pressure-mount installation your gate will be up in minutes. Once the gate is installed, the EZY-Check color indicator takes out the guess work by showing a green tab when the gate is locked and properly installed. This combo pack includes one Dreambaby Standard Height Chelsea Security Gate and two 3.5 in. extensions. Versatile indeed, it will fit openings of 28 in. to 32 in. on its own or with the included (2 x 3.5 in.) extensions; it can be increased to fit up to 39 in. I bought the gate to keep my grand-daughter who has just started to walk out of the kitchen. I found it to be great, especially the lock. I like that when you move the lock you also have to give it a little lift and that gate swings both ways. I would recommend this product to anyone especialy one who has a toddler.

With previous great experiences with Dreambaby products, I knew that when our baby started to move around the house it was time to research gates. My wife and I wanted a sturdy and functional gate. We also needed two for both ends of our stairs. We decided on the Chelsea gate based on height and strength. The gates arrived in perfect condition and nicely packaged. I knew that I would have to make some adjustments due to the staircase handrails, no fault by Dreambaby. For the bottom of the stairs I had to remove a piece of molding and the handrail, which I easily recut and re-installed the handrail. The gate installed just as detailed in the instructions. Please don’t worry about the gate being bent. As you tighten all the gaps close to function perfectly. The top of the stairwell was a different install. The way the wall and handrail were built I needed to place the gate flush with the last step. This may not be manufacture approved, but the base bar is not in the way and also functions perfectly. Our baby has tried to test the gate by grapping and shaking the gate, and the gate does not move. It’s sturdy just like we wanted. I enjoyed installing the gate and am thankful to Dreambaby for an outstanding product that most importantly keeps our baby safe. What more could you ask for?

Easy to install baby gate. Did not need to install any hardware into the walls first – thank goodness! Simple to use with one hand. Kids can’t open as you have to actually lift the gate after using latch. So kids just pushing on or trying to climb the gate is not going to make it come open. Happy with my purchase so far!

We purchased this gate to keep my son out of the kitchen now that he is crawling. Since travel between the kitchen and the living room has to happen multiple times a day it is great that this gate can be opened with one hand. We used the pressure mounting feature since we are currently renting this house and want to be able to take the gate with us without damage to the walls. My son has tried a few times to pull up on the gate and it has not moved at all. I also like the stay open feature so that once the little one is in bed we are able to leave the gate open for the adults. The mounting cups made this much easier to position. It did take two adults to get everything situated but that was expected in putting up a sturdy gate. This is definitely something that we would purchase again should the need arise.

Ok, so we use our Dreambaby gates as dog gates. The quality is superior to every other one we’ve tried and installation is a breeze. I do wish the safety labels were easier to get off, as they are a distraction, but it did not stop a second purchase.

I really like the Boston Auto Close Gate. It has a wider gate opening than my other pressure mounted gate and can swing open both ways. You can see in the picture I attached how much wider it is (my Boston gate is black and my older gate it white). It is also much easier to release one handed. Just slide your thumb and lift up. The auto close feature is also very nice and if you push the gate all the way open, you can lock it in that position if you want it to stay open for a long period of time when you don’t need to use it as a gate, but don’t want to remove it, either.

I bought this gate for a new puppy. It is Very sturdy without having to drill holes in the door facing. The tension knobs work great. It came with 2 extensions which in other gates had to be purchased separately. Easy to open with one hand. It is metal instead of plastic or wood. Dog cannot chew through it. Would definitely recommend, especially for a dog.

We ordered four (4) these gates for indoor use. With new carpeting in all of our bedrooms, we were reluctant to allow our two greyhounds free rein. The gates are just the right height for tall/large dogs and are very sturdy. Installation was remarkably simple. Opening the gates to pass through is a one-hand operation, and they lock securely when you let them swing shut. I don’t know that the dogs in the house would recommend them, but the people do! These were ordered online and delivered to the front door. They arrived in undamaged boxes with all parts present and accounted for.
