The Dreambaby Standard Height Chelsea Auto-Close Security Gate with Smart Stay-Open Feature is perfect for parents who need functionality in addition to security. This gate features a unique Magnetic Locking System that will ensure the gate closes automatically and securely from any distance. The Smart Stay-Open feature holds the gate door open and is perfect for when you need to move freely through the barrier, such as when you are carrying groceries or clearing the table. With simple, tool-free, pressure-mount installation your gate will be up in minutes. Once the gate is installed, the EZY-Check color indicator takes out the guess work by showing a green tab when the gate is locked and properly installed. This combo pack includes one Dreambaby Standard Height Chelsea Security Gate and two 3.5 in. extensions. Versatile indeed, it will fit openings of 28 in. to 32 in. on its own or with the included (2 x 3.5 in.) extensions; it can be increased to fit up to 39 in. We’ve been happy with this gate so far – we purchased two extenders to accommodate the space we are using it for. Unfortunately due to the nature of the installation (not being screwed to the wall) and the length of the gate with the extenders, the gate has become a bit wobbly. It’s sturdy enough that our child can put weight on it and it’s secure and safe, but an adult would definitely topple it over if enough force was put on it. Overall, a great gate, but we’ll definitely use it without the extenders in shorter lengths of space next time.

This gate arrived on time and barely required much effort or know-how to install. We didn’t want a permanent gate, so every so often we need to tighten the bolts on the side. (I do that without any tools.) My husband was dreading having this; he was envisioning having to climb over it, but it turned out to be perfect. I like how it swings to a close. We use it to section off an area of kitchen from our puppy.

We have the Dawson Gates which we love but needed a wider gate for another doorway. This Chelsea Gate Kit also gives us the option of using the gate with extensions in other areas – a win, win! This is another winning gate by Dreambaby but since it doesnt come in silver to match the Dawson gate, we choose the black for a better color match.We absolutely love that this gate has ALL the same features as the Dawson just the style is a little different. It auto closes and has the hold open features as well! This is another heavy duty metal gate that should last us for years to come. This gate also was super easy to install. No drills/tools are needed, you just install and turn the tension knobs to tighten the gate into your doorframe. Happy repeat customer!
