I use this product to keep my sons from going to places in the house where they shouldn’t be, mainly out of their sisters’ room where they often try to sneak of to. I liked that the gate screws to the wall so I can easily just pull it across and hook it when I need to. I know that the release button is supposed to be harder to use so kids can’t release the gate on their own, but sometimes it can be hard for adults to do, too. I like the overall design and ease of use of the gate.

We chose this gate mainly for the minimal space needed to function. The area at the top of our stairs is limited and a retractable gate is perfect. First, the packaging was wonderful. We had a hurricane rain and the box was soaked, but everything inside was preserved with nice bags and wrapping. The installation was great. This product has so many options and applications. We chose the configuration that worked for us, used the templates provided, and not long after we had functioning gates. I will say we have an older home and had to do some figuring around the banister and railing but made it function perfectly. Then we had a problem. With the baby we wanted to keep the cats from coming upstairs and they could crawl under the gate. We studied it for a while and bingo – all we had to do was change the configuration. We used the appropriate template, unscrewed, and reattached everything. Now it works just as good as before, looks great, and keeps the cats out. Using the gate holding baby does take some getting used to, however the other benefits definitely outweigh this. I also like the fact that with extra hardware, when we no longer need to block the stairs we can use it to block off other rooms (cat room). Thank you!

We needed to secure three areas, the entrance to our kitchen, the opening between our living room and our entryway, and our son’s doorway. We also wanted the option of securing other areas in our condo so a removable, retractable gate would be the best solution in terms of saving space and being able to fit all of those locations. We initially looked at a competing product, but the gates were too tall to fit under our kitchen counter. We ordered the Dreambaby gates with a bit of concern about the quality but so far we’ve been very satisfied with the product. Our 9 mo. old son is always pushing against them and has experimented with trying to lift the bottom of the screen but the gates have held firm. We’ve seen the videos online where pets crawl under the gate but there is no way our son could pull it up enough to get his head under the gate. Installation was easy but I would recommend that you use the template to mount the gate and then extend the gate and manually mark where you want the latches to go. No doorway is perfectly plumb so if you use the template to mount the laches, chances are your gate won’t be perfectly taut. The gates look great, work well, and are decently sturdy. They do make a lot of noise when they retract, which is billed as a safety feature, but you can open them silently if you hold the unlocking mechanism down while opening the gate. Overall we’re really happy with these gates!

I love that’s it’s suitable for indoor and outdoors. I was aware of this awesome product from a friend who is currently using it, and wanted one so bad The quality of the material is good. You can install it in the doorway or stairway. Easy installation which comes with useful and easy to read instructions. It also comes with the mounts. It doesn’t hang back and forth like the cheap wooden/plastic gates once they losen up. It’s used for pets and children. It looks sturdy, but I feel nervous because (that’s just the way I am) to install the gate up the stairs for a toddler like mine who is very destructive even if the material looks good and sturdy.

I installed the gate between the hallway to the kitchen ( the most dangerous place for a toddler!) When there are little ones running around its hard to get them to stop following you. It’s bad enough they already copy everything we do. My first thought was this is heavy. And of great quality but what if it falls at a let go of the gate. However it turned out to be very sturdy and reliable to keeping the kids OUT ! It took longer than expected to build and get together but the labor was worth it in the end. The black one I received I really loved it gives like a total shut off- off limits warning sign. Howevet I wouldve definitely bought for the other rooms if the price itself would be in my mommy budget, but totally recommending to all mommies (specially us new ones who have anxiety about everything!) Thank you so much for the opportunity.

Upon receiving the Retractable black gate, I thought it was too big for my doorways but it surprisingly fit and keeps my animals out of my kitchen! I didn’t know about the retractable gate prior to viewpoints and I thank them for showing me this product. I will definitely be buying more of them! I have reccommended the gate to several other people and I believe one or two of them have already purchased themselves

We received this baby gate in exchange for an honest review. While it does have some nice features, as a mother of three young children, I do NOT recommend it. PROS: Out of the way when not in use (no tripping hazard). About impossible for an older child to mess with and get it open. Very sturdy as it is screwed to the wall (then again… this is also not so great. See cons). Easily adapts to any length up to what is specified. The gate material is soft but durable. CONS: It needs to be screwed to the wall (this is good depending on how you look at it. See pros). This does make for a very sturdy gate, which is definitely important. But we had to drill into our beautiful millwork on our stairs, so that was sad. Our other baby gate is a tension gate, which seems to be sturdy as well and didn’t require any drilling. Now for the absolute biggest con of all… and the reason why I would NOT purchase this gate if we needed another. You have to use BOTH hands to open AND close it. GASP. While this does add to the security of the gate… it is a nightmare considering I am almost always either holding my four month old or a laundry basket or SOMEthing and this requires me to put whatever it is I’m holding down. As I mentioned I have three young children. Here’s a scenario for you: if said four month old is crying, and I’m needing to go up the stairs to put him down for a nap (this baby gate is at the bottom of the stairs), but want to keep my other two from following me, I need to put said crying baby down, who is now screaming because he had to be put down, just to open this gate. If I’m coming downstairs and holding something and forgot that the gate is closed, I have to trot back up the stairs to put whatever it is down just so I can open this gate. This might sound trivial to some, but for me… this is just plain annoying.

I bought 2 retractable gates for my preschool as a way to divide my space (we had to divide classrooms to accommodate the COVID licensing regulations of smaller group sizes). The gates are a great way to fulfill the licensing regulations but are removable for when the regulations revert back. The gates are easy to operate and look great!

Having a toddler and stairs we have went through a few different gates due to how my stairway is set up. We decided to install this gate at the bottom due to the mesh lining is not the greatest. Installation was easy and the directions were easy to follow. To retract the gate using one hand on the knob is a bit difficult but hopefully after time it will loosen up and not be so hard. It is very loud when it retracts so just a heads up on that. Overall this gate is pretty sturdy and has a nice look to it. Compared to gates we have used in the past I am not a big fan of the mesh lining just for the fact that if you put the gate at the top of stairs your child could easily wiggle through. My cat has already managed to get through the small gap at the bottom.

I loved how this product is easy to set up any where and it comes with extra attachments to put them on different places once you set it up you can remove the gate and put it anywhere, also this gate was retractable and you can roll it in. When it’s not in use so it’s easy for my older kids to open it and close it , it looks very expensive and it’s beautiful in my home, I highly recommend it !

Our staircase was a HUGE problem and this baby gate was the perfect answer. The base of our staircase is much wider than an average doorway and it was very difficult finding a quality baby gate that was wide enough to securely protect my tough toddler. This gate is excellent, looks lovely in my home, and keeps everyone SAFE.
